Mike’s Favorite Stories on ILLUMINATION Publications — #11
Featuring some engaging stories that you may enjoy as well
As mentioned before, I now write less but read and curate more to achieve more productive and fulfilling outcomes on this platform. But yesterday, I wrote a short story on something close to my heart. It is my first story for this month. I hope a few people get a chance to see it. As usual, it hardly got any views. But I decided to do something which I will share in my next post. So stay tuned as it is important.
I have already created ten collections with lists allowing readers to find interesting stories. The links to older collections are at the end of this post if you want to find some great stories from them. They cover eclectic topics. There might be something for everyone in them.
As you may have noticed, I became a Medium Friend (FoM). I was reluctant initially but Dr Mehmet Yildiz finally convinced me. He wrote an inspiring story about it. I believe you will enjoy it very much as I did.
Our good friend Aiden followed our path and took the plunge yesterday. He even wrote a funny story about being a FoM. You may find his narration and enthusiasm captivating.
And watch out for scammers as they attempt to deceive our readers.
These fraudulent accounts typically lack followers and haven’t authored any stories themselves. They are non-members with no star or heart icons in their profile names.
What can we do about scams and spam accounts?
Regarding these scams, Dr Mehmet Yildiz (my mentor and my reason to join Medium) wrote a very impactful, educative, and important story nudging Medium’s senior leadership today. I encourage you to read this story and raise your concerns so that this nuisance can be addressed timely before many readers like me leave this insecure platform. I liked an interview story by Dr Mehmet Yildiz featuring Luay Rahil, a writer whose tales often set the ILLUMINATION stage ablaze.
