Overwatch Streamer Hits the Highest Rank with a Huge Disadvantage
For a top-level player, a little under a week is not much of achievement until you realize how much of a disadvantage Bogur had.

Like the title says, the first piece of gaming news today relates to an achievement of an Overwatch Streamer named Bogur.
Recently Bogur set a challenge for himself in which whenever he reached a subgoal on Twitch, and he would turn off a key game element while attempting to rank up.
He decided to do this challenge on a brand new account with none of his previous histories. He initially got placed in the Diamond rank and made his way all the way up to Grandmaster in less than a week.
For a top-level player, a little under a week is not much of achievement until you realize how much of a disadvantage Bogur had.
Every time he reached a sub-goal, he turned off another game element to make the challenge even harder.
By the end, Bogur had no audio, no HUD elements, 50% render scale, no voice chat, and no player outlines.
Luckily he was playing one of the tank heroes called Winston, who doesn’t rely too heavily on precise accuracy.
Just in case you don’t understand how much of a disadvantage Bogur had, here are some things he had to blindly keep in mind:
His health
His ability cool-downs
Where his crosshair was aimed
The status of the payload
The status of the capture points
His teammates’ callouts
His teammates’ positions
Even while missing all these essential elements, somehow, he still manages to reach the highest rank in the game.
It may have taken him seven streams and around six days, but he still did it.
Also, keep in mind he was playing against players who didn’t have such disadvantages.
He also suspected a few people streamed him in order to derail this challenge.
Bogur stated, “I barely ate for days; I barely slept for days.”
After he finally completed the challenge, he said, “Oh my god, I can’t believe it.”
The current Overwatch season is the last one until Overwatch 2 is released, which will take over the online gameplay.
I suspect this was supposed to be a fun challenge as a means of sending off the original Overwatch online experience.
Honestly, when I read about Bogur’s achievement, I was absolutely shocked.
I can barely get past the Platinum rank with all my game elements intact, let alone the highest rank.
I must give credit where credit is due.
