Updates on Current Gaming News #4
Gamescom is a trade fair for video games.

In this article, I will be covering some recent gaming news.
If you read my last article, I mentioned the recent Gamescom Livestream.
Gamescom is a trade fair for video games.
It is an annual event where many new game-related subjects are discussed.
These subjects include; game announcements, interviews, scoops, premieres, and much more.
The event will end on the 29th of this month.
You can watch the live event on various platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, and the GamesRadar+ website.
The live streams will begin at 11 AM PDT each day.
If you enjoy Dark Souls, you probably know about the online downtime which occurred on Dark Souls 3 for the past seven months.
Back in January, the online servers were shut down due to a serious security vulnerability.
There was an exploit that allowed attackers to gain access to players’ computers.
This allowed them to steal login information, run malicious programs, or even brick up people’s PCs entirely.
Fortunately, the devs of Dark Souls 3 have finally addressed the issue and brought the servers back online after a very long seven months.
Finally, Dark Souls 3 players can get back to their PvP desires.
Valve, the creators of Steam, have announced the launch of their new mobile app beta.
Steam already has an existing mobile app, but if you’ve used it, you’d know how outdated it feels.
It can be useful to browse the Steam store and be used for Steam Guard, but it’s not very useful for much else.
The new and improved Steam mobile app is currently available in beta on both Android and iOS devices.
Valve stated, “We’ve rebuilt the app on a few frameworks and modernized the design.”
“You’ll still be able to browse the store, get Steam Guard codes, and confirm trades, but now the app comes with QR code sign-in, smarter notifications, an improved library, and multi-account support.
This seems very promising, and ill will be testing out the beta myself to see how it all looks.
In my last gaming news article, I mentioned the collaboration between Fortnite and Destiny 2.
Well, now there is more new news related to that topic. I mentioned the new skins added to Destiny 2, which resemble skins from Fortnite.
Well, now Fortnite has a few new skins which resemble armor skins from Destiny 2.
In addition, Fortnite introduced a new game mode that recreates Destiny 2’s Zone Control Crucible game mode.
Interestingly, it was created by the YouTube creator team PWR using Fortnite’s own creative mode with all in-game tools and assets.
Considering that, the game mode looks extremely impressive and highly resembles the original Destiny 2 game mode.
I will be giving it a go soon.
This concludes my fourth iteration of current gaming news.
If there is any notable gaming news I missed, please don’t hesitate to let me know by leaving a comment in the comments section.
