Multiversus’ Announcement Excited Me Beyond Words.

Here’s why.

Purpose of the Article

First, I briefly introduce the Multiversus game, why I like it, and explain how it is played.

What is Multiversus?

Multiversus is a crossover fighting game. It was developed by Player First Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

Multiversus is a fighting game similar to Super Smash Bros. Unfortunately, Super Smash Bros is only available on Nintendo consoles.

Although I thoroughly enjoy Super Smash Bros, most of my friends don’t own a Nintendo console. This means I can only play with a few friends who have a Nintendo Switch.

But Multiversus will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

And the best part is that it will include cross-platform play. In case you don’t know, this means no matter what platform you play on, you will always be able to play with your friends on other platforms.

What sets Multiversus aside from Super Smash Bros

When Multiversus was announced, I was beyond excited.

Now you must wonder what sets this game aside from Super Smash Bros.

The central aspect that most gamers are excited about is all the exclusive characters being implemented that Nintendo couldn’t get their hands on.

Some of the most popular characters include; Shaggy (From Scooby Doo), Bugs Bunny, DC Superhero’s, Tom & Jerry, LeBron James, and Rick & Morty.

The characters will also have a progression system specific to each individual character.

As well as an overall career progression system, there will be individual character progression which can be levelled up by playing with the character you wish to progress.

Progressing individual characters can allow you access to in-game currency, ability perks, and character cosmetics.

After a certain level, you can also use your in-game currency to upgrade your character perks.

Here’s an explanation of Multiversus’ gameplay.

Much like Super Smash Bros, Multiversus is a crossover platformer fighting game where the main goal is to knock your opponents off the platform.

This is done by causing more and more damage to your opponent, which will knock them back further and further.

Much like other platformer fighting games such as Street Fighter and Tekken, Multiversus will rely on strategic movements and combos to outplay your opponent.

Multiversus will also have a team-based game mode, with four players in a 2v2 scenario.

Interestingly, along with the expected tank and bruiser characters, Multiversus will also include support characters who can aid their teammates during a match.

This addition is a nice and interesting change from other platformer fighting games.

Interestingly, if you’re reading this before the 28th of July, you still have the chance to acquire an early access beta code for free.

These codes are being given away specifically on Twitch.

All you have to do is log into Twitch and watch one hour of Multiversus gameplay streams.

After one hour, you can claim the twitch drop and link your twitch account to your Warner Bros. Games account.

From there, you will be able to choose what platform you’d like to redeem the code on, and that’s it.

You will be presented with the code, which you can immediately redeem on whichever platform you choose.

The early access beta begins on the 26th of July.

WB Games states that Multiversus will be free-to-play.

When I heard about this, I was very excited along with most of my friends.

It means all my friends will have no hesitation getting the game, and we can all begin playing from the get-go.

Final Words

Multiversus is an exciting new game many gamers are excited about.

Not only does it introduce gameplay mechanics which aren’t common in other platformer fighting games, but also a variety of well-known characters under Warner Bros.

I am looking forward to the official release. And until then, I will defiantly be playing the early access beta as much as I can.

Thank you for reading my story. I wish you a prosperous life.
