High on Life: The Upcoming Game Set in the Rick & Morty Universe
Introduction to a first-person-shooter game
Purpose of the Post
After seeing a trailer for High on Life on YouTube, I thought introducing this exciting game to the community would be a good idea. It has a unique story-driven first-person shooter game. I enjoy writing about upcoming games to inform my readers.
Brief Introduction to Rick & Morty
I believe everyone has heard about Rick & Morty. For those who don’t know it, let me briefly introduce it.
Rick & Morty is an adult cartoon from the network Adult Swim. Rick is an alcoholic, sociopathic scientist, who lives with his daughter Beth, her husband Jerry, and their two kids, Summer, and Morty.
The show’s central premise is about Rick taking his dimwit grandson Morty on crazy intergalactic adventures.
These adventures’ primary purpose is to acquire something interesting or achieve something out of the ordinary. In other words, something you wouldn’t expect.
There is a lot of profanity, sex, and drug references, so needless to say, it is not suitable for kids.
Although it is the funniest show I’ve ever watched, my circle of friends also enjoys it. So we keep talking about the episodes.
Whenever a new episode came out, we would group up and watch it together.
After this background, let me introduce the upcoming game.
About High on Life Game
Recently, the creators of Rick & Morty announced that they have been working on a first-person shooter game set in the Rick & Morty universe.
Squanch Games develop the game. It references a character in the show who says “Squanch” a lot.
They called the game High on Life. A recently released gameplay trailer excited a lot of Rick & Morty fans.
High on Life can be described as a “comedic biopunk first-person shooter game.”
It takes place in the science fiction universe of Rick & Morty.
The kicker is the players’ primary weapon. They are anthropomorphic talking guns called Gattliens. They will say funny things and assist you while you play.
The story’s premise is that the intergalactic alien cartel has taken humanity to be distributed as a drug to other aliens.
As a bounty hunter, you must progress through the galaxy and save the human race from the alien cartel using Gattliens.
Final Words
After I watched the trailer, it reminded me of all the funny Rick & Morty episodes. I am looking forward to playing this quirky first-person shooter game.
I will also be on the lookout for various Rick & Morty references, which I assume will be in the game.
Interestingly, the trailer showcased fantastic quality graphics and a bright color palette, unlike other FPS (First Person Shooter) games.
High on Life is scheduled to be released on the 25th of October 2022.
