Today, I would like to provide a few updates on gaming-related news from the past few days. I thought you find them interesting.

In my first gaming news article, I mentioned a teaser image posted by Fortnite relating to a Dragon Ball collaboration. Well, now the Fortnite x Dragon Ball crossover event is now live.

Players can purchase Dragon Ball-themed skins, emotes, and other interesting things from the item shop. This event will run until the 17th of September.

Interestingly, you’ll be able to visit points of interest in order to view Dragon Ball Super episodes. In addition, players will be able to travel to new locations and complete time-limited quests.

The insanely popular MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) Guild Wars 2 will finally be available on Steam next week.

It was initially supposed to be released on Steam back in 2020 but was put on hold. Now there’s an official release date which is the 23rd of August 2022.

The base game will continue to be free-to-play with no subscription fees. But now they’re introducing the Complete Collection Bundle, which is only available through Steam.

The new bundle will cost $100, which, unlike the previous Guild Wars 2 bundles, actually includes everything. This includes every expansion story, map, and other features.

Many players have been complaining on the Guild Wars 2 subreddit about all the hidden costs beyond the price of the expansions. Therefore this single payment of $100 is a welcome addition.

I know $100 seems steep, but keep in mind that’s approximately ten years’ worth of previous Guild Wars 2 content.

This just gave me a good reason to get into Guild Wars 2 since I’ve been looking for a new MMORPG to play.

In case you’re not aware, Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales is an exclusively single-player game. But following the Spider-Man Remastered PC release, an interesting discovery was found in the PC versions executable file.

A Twitter user by the name of DniweTamp posted two images of the discovery he made. The first image references the phrase “Superior Spider-Man,” which can be associated with either Peter Parker or Miles Morales.

Another line references red and blue teams, which would be interpreted as some sort of competitive multiplayer game mode.

The second image appears to be dev notes in the code which state, “If set, and in co-op, Character2 will see this text.” This implies there is a cooperative game mode in development.

Many fans are hoping this is related to a co-op story. If this is the case for the next game, I will definitely be playing through the story with one of my friends.

Here’s a link to the original Twitter post by DniweTamp:

Following the release of Spider-Man Remastered on PC a few days ago, there have already been a few mods released for the game.

The first batch of mods includes the ability to turn the Spider-Man model into Black Cat or Stan Lee.

Unfortunately, they aren’t animated yet, so you’ll just see the model in an A-pose, which is fine for now, just to capture interesting screenshots.

Although there was another mod released that allows players to turn off the UI with the press of a button.

This mod makes the game look much cleaner without all the UI aspects on your screen.

A Symbiote Balck Suit mod swaps the advanced suit for a suit that resembles the Venom suit.

The most promising mod released is a Modding Tool.

It was uploaded by a modder named jedijosh920, who states, “It’s the foundation is creating and installing mods, having an easy to use mod file system where users can create and share their mods, and also install them.”

A report by VGC indicates the possibility of a Playstation game launcher for PC.

Amongst the files of Spider-Man Remastered on PC, there are references to the “Playstation PC Launcher.”

It seems this may be an idea floating around at Sony since they are re-releasing more and more Playstation games on PC.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, it’s still an interesting idea.

There have been a few interesting gaming-related news in the past few days. In future articles, I will continue to highlight recent gaming news such as these.

Please feel free to inform me of interesting news I may have missed out on by leaving a comment in the comments section of this story.

Thank you for reading my short story. I wish you a prosperous life.
