A Gaming Monitor Like You’ve Never Seen
Bendable displays aren’t a new thing, but bendable gaming monitors definitely are.

Earlier today, I was scrolling through TikTok while I ate my breakfast. While scrolling, I came across a very interesting video from Corsair’s official TikTok account.
The video began with a voice stating, “We’re doing something that has never been done before. Check it out.”
I thought to myself, “Yeah, I doubt that.”
But then I saw a sizeable ultra-wide monitor on a desk.
Someone walked up to it and proceeded to pull the sides of the monitor in order to bend it.
My next thought was, “What the f**k. Okay, I retract my statement.”
Corsair has officially created the world’s first bendable gaming monitor, and it’s way better than you think.
Aside from its ability to bend, let me tell you about the monitor’s technical specifications.
It features a 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio with a resolution of 3440 x 1440.
The screen itself spans a massive 45 inches.
It also features an OLED display with a refresh rate of 240hz.
It will be compatible with both G-Sync and FreeSync Premium.
Most impressive, though, it features a 0.03 GtG response time, which is absolutely ridiculous.
This is definitely my new dream monitor, but I’m sure it will cost $2000 or more considering its unique technology.
If I ever get this beast of a monitor, honestly, I’d be kinda anxious about bending it, scared I might break something.
I love the idea of having a flat monitor while working and then switching to a curved monitor for gaming.
I noticed from the reveal video, that the monitor has little handles used to bend the screen, which can be tucked away when not in use.
I like this addition since it makes sure you’ll never have to touch the panel itself and get fingerprints on it.
It is currently being shown off at Gamescom, but hopefully, tech reviewers will get their hands on it soon in order to review it.
The only concern I have with this monitor is whether repeatedly bending the monitor may cause harm over an extended period of time.
Obviously, if I were to own this monitor, I would most likely never get bored of bending it over and over again.
But could the action of repeatedly bending it causes problems with the picture over, say, five years down the line?
Of course, most people would like their very expensive monitors to outlast their gaming PCs which will need to be upgraded eventually.
The Oled panel itself is made by LG, who have been manufacturing flexible OLED displays for a while now.
So I have faith in LG’s reliability.
Bendable displays aren’t a new thing, but bendable gaming monitors definitely are.
I can confidently say Corsair’s new bendable gaming monitor is the best bendable gaming monitor currently on the market.
I mean, it’s the only bendable gaming monitor currently on the market, which makes it the best, or worst, depending on how you look at it.
Either way, I hope to see more content featuring this beast of a monitor soon. I love innovative technologies.
