Summary

The web content provides a comprehensive guide on how to create and share an index of Medium stories for easier reader access, emphasizing the importance of organizing published work and maintaining a list of clickable titles.

Abstract

The article titled "How to List your Medium Stories" offers Medium writers a strategy to enhance the visibility and accessibility of their content. It suggests compiling a monthly index of published stories, which can be featured at the top of a writer's profile. This index simplifies the process for readers to browse through a writer's portfolio, from the oldest to the newest piece, without relying on the profile page's scroll-bar. The author, Celine Lai, exemplifies this approach by presenting a chronological list of her own stories, complete with clickable links, and encourages other writers to adopt this method. The article also highlights the significance of maintaining engagement with older stories, not just recent ones, and offers assistance to writers in the Medium Partner Program (MPP) by providing a link to a guide on listing their stories. The piece concludes with an invitation to follow the publication "Thirty above Fifty" for stories by writers aged fifty and over, and provides submission guidelines for those interested in contributing.

Did you know that you can create an index of all Stories that you have published on Medium, for readers to browse/scroll through and find something of interest to them!

This list is a lot easier and quicker to go through than to use the scroll-bar to go through the Story Titles on a Medium writer’s profile page! 😃

Remember: clapping for older published stories is as important as clapping for new/recent Stories.

Here is my list of my own Stories, with Story Titles that are links which can be clicked on. They are arranged from oldest at the top “Why I am a Medium Member” to the latest at the bottom, “Total Eclipse of the Heart.”

I think that Medium writers would benefit from organising a monthly post (Story) or at any other time, which they can feature at the top of their Profile, listing the previous month’s Medium Stories that they have published (or a list of their Stories over a longer time-frame, as I have done).

The point of having a list of clickable links to your Medium Stories is to show your Followers or the passerby, your Stories, at a glance. If you share monthly, make sure that at the bottom of say your June 2019 list, you add a link to your May 2019 list! 😺

I plan to put up an index of my own Stories at the end of each month, but as this is the first time of publishing my List, this inaugural one includes all Stories written by me since I started with Medium, up until the end of June 2019.

If you are in the MPP (Medium Partner Program) I can send you a link to an un-listed Story that shows you how to easily list all of your stories.

Happy reading and sharing!
