Total Solar Eclipse of July, New Moon in Cancer
Over Tuesday 2nd July / Wednesday 3rd July 2019, the New Moon will fully eclipse our Sun. Solar Eclipses happen when a New Moon moves between the Earth and the Sun.
A New Moon is about setting intentions and goals.
Eclipses are about introspection, because the energy from the Sun attunes us to our expression of external energy, and the Moon’s energy relates to inward thinking and feeling and self.
So when the Moon gets between Earth and the Sun, our energising star, the Moon’s energy in the celestial constellation that it is located in at that time, enables us to dive deep into ourselves (the Moon), in order to reverently reflect on the present, and truthfully see, through the “lens” of the constellation that houses the Moon, how this relates to our past.
This week’s Solar Eclipse will occur in the constellation of Cancer, “the Crab.”
Cancer is Latin for Crab and is one of the 12 signs in the Western astrology system.
Cancer was the location of the Sun’s most northerly position in the sky (the summer solstice) in ancient times, though this position now occurs in Taurus due to the precession of the equinoxes, around June 21.
This is also the time that the Sun is directly overhead at 23.5°N, a parallel now known as the Tropic of Cancer.
In Greek mythology, Cancer is identified with the crab that appeared while Hercules was fighting the many-headed Hydra.
The crab bit Hercules on the foot, Hercules crushed it and then the goddess Hera, a sworn enemy of Hercules, placed the crab among the stars.
With the Moon & Sun in Cancer for this week’s Solar Eclipse, the New Moon will be amplified. Family, home, relationships, nurturing & tenderness will all be laid out on the table.

The maximum of the Eclipse will occur at 5.22 AM Eastern Standard Time in Australia, or at 3.22 AM in Perth, Western Australia, where I live, on Wednesday 3rd July 2019.
I think that this will correspond to 3.22 PM in the U.S.A. Eastern time zones and to 12.22 in the U.S.A. Western time zones. 😃

In fact all the Eclipses of 2019/2020 are going to really be an opportunity for me to get in touch with who I really am and what I am about; or to nurture myself and get in touch with, and foster security and sanctuary in my personal life and generate lasting happy relationships.
I feel that this has already started for me, and I am creating my own sanctuary, in terms of feeling happy, satisfied and safe with my many creative potentials and believing in myself!

Say Mercury, the planet related to communications and organisation, was in Cancer at the time of your birth.
That would mean that with these intense eclipses, you would really benefit from looking at how you communicate and organise yourself, in order to care of yourself; and to keep grounded and deal with larger forces.
In fact, the Universe will have a way of prompting you to do this, under the Eclipses, whether a subtle prompt or a jarring one.
Don’t get upset if you don’t know your time of birth, because you can use your intuition to feel what energetic influence may have been in Cancer at the time of your birth.

On 16th July 2019, there will be a Lunar Eclipse (eclipse of the moon, not the Sun). It will be a partial eclipse with the Moon in Capricorn.
Energetically during a Total Lunar Eclipse, as the Moon is fully sitting in Earth’s shadow (ie unable to reflect the I AM Light of the Sun), a window opens and we are drawn into ourselves, to the part that we don’t show to the world, the emotional and deepest part of our psyche.

The website below states this Lunar Eclipse is likely to be intensely emotional, and all the proponents of esoteric Astrology herald the July Eclipses as doorways to new dimensions, with no going back.

The next 6 months and 2020 will highlight what humanity wants to first focus on to change collectively.
Although there may be seeming hardship or horrors globally, those of us who are Light workers must remain grounded (out in nature or visualise being connected to the core of Earth, and/or use crystals for grounding and other metaphysical properties).
We MUST reinforce and live our self-belief that our World can and will change for the better of all. These Eclipses are “wild-cards” meaning we all have a part to play in what direction the energies will take humanity collectively.
