I’m 55 now, how did this happen?

It seems like just the other day when I was thirty and nowhere near ready to be fifty. I remember when I was a teenager saying to my best friend that I couldn’t wait until we were older and could invite each other over to tea. When I was twenty, I looked forward to being thirty because I considered that people who were thirty were really wise.

I was born with supra-valvular aortic stenosis, or a narrowing above the valve, which caused a heart murmur. The Commonwealth Medical Doctor said, when I was twenty, that I would need my aortic heart valve replaced by the time I was fifty. I thought that’s alright, fifty is a long way off.

Now that age has been and gone, amazingly, and I had my surgery in 2014, five years ago! Blink and before you know it, you are no longer twenty one.

But you know what, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve lived a Life and in my opinion, I have dealt royally with the hands that have been dealt to me.

I have survived many traumatic situations; and I love reading and writing, and supporting others. Since 2003 I have had my own presence on the WWW via my peace site, “Peace in Practice” which you can go to by clicking on the link below. The home page links to some of the many WordPress blogs that I run.

I consider myself someone with infinite patience and who is naturally “sunny” or happy, with a positive mind-frame, and the ability and will to get through Life’s challenges.

I see age as not really getting wiser, because anyone can be a “wise or old Soul” in any aged body; but with biological age comes a plethora and a wide range of unusual or unique and common experiences.

It is up to us, the older or the younger, to wisely share the knowledge and understanding and choices that come from these experiences. and to apply them, for the good of all.

I would love to put my writing skills to use as an income stream; and at this time of my Life I really want to invest in this.

Namaste ( I see the Divine in You )

Celine
