Thank you all for joining ILLUMINATION Integrated Publications supporting more than 12,000 writers on Medium. We apologise for delays to inform you in this round. Some of our editors are unwell and our workload for managing these publications has become challenging as we depend on volunteers. None of our publications generates any income.
The aim of this post is to inform new writers joining our publications ILLUMINATION, ILLUMINATION-Curated, ILLUMINATION Book chapters, Technology Hits, SYNERGY, ILLUMINATION’S MIRROR, and Readers Hope.
If your Medium account is not added to the requested publications, please leave a comment on this article. In addition, you may contact our editors on our Slack. Please leave a brief message with your Medium ID on the channel #writerstobeadded on Slack.
If your account is added to wrong publication, you can remove it yourself. We can’t remove writers due to a glitch in the system. We don’t take offence if you leave our publications. We support whatever suits you. There is no obligations from our end for publication activities.
Dr Mehmet Yildiz, our chief editor, will send you an invitation to our Slack workspace via the email address you registered to our writer application form. If you don’t receive the Slack invitation, please leave a message on this article or apply again via the web form.
Joining our Slack workspace is optional and free. However, networking on Slack might help you build meaningful relationships with other writers and editors. Slack is the main communication platform for our services. Our Slack workspace includes more than 9,000 members. You can easily contact our editors via the Slack tool. We have editors from all geographies.

Publishing Guidance
Our publications operate on Medium. Thus, all contributors need to adhere to the rules and policies of this platform. Please review publication guidelines before submitting your stories to any publication. Our pubs support different writers at all levels.
When you submit copyright-free photos and cite them in your stories, they can be published quicker. Please check the image handling policy. The story explains how to cite and where to find copyright free photos. We don’t accept copyrighted images. It is against Medium rules.
We reject plagiarized stories. If writers attempts plagiarism, we remove their accounts and stories from our publications. Plagiarists might also get penalties from Medium and legal entities. This is the worst crime a writer could do and we always warn our contributors due to dire consequences.
We produced writing challenges for writers. They can helpful to get you started and gain new followers and readers. Please check our 100-day writing challenge. We have a writing prompt. Here is the purpose of this prompt. In short, its purpose is to increase your followers, views, and reading times. The more readers you gain the more income you can earn on Medium. Your stories are paid based on reading times. Other metrics like followers don’t matter much unless you need to meet basic 100 followers to join Medium Partner Program. For ILLUMINATION, ILLUMINATION-Curated, ILLUMINATION’S MIRROR and Readers Hope publications, you can write about various topics as they are generic pubs. There is no restriction for these pubs apart from a few topics, such as porn, conspiracy theories, and defaming content. Medium do not want to publish these types of content. We don’t censor content as long as your stories meet Medium policies.
ILLUMINATION-Curated publishes content from experienced and accomplished writers. Our senior editors specifically select the contributors for this publication using a set of criteria. Upon request, we allow experienced writers directly write for this publication. The prerequisite is to follow Medium’s distribution guidelines. Details are in this article.

We don’t edit stories submitted to Readers Hope but we provide guidance via private notes and on Slack workspace. Onboarding Pack for New Writers
We support various levels of writers, including aspiring, experienced, accomplished, and influential. All type of writers are important for us. So we don’t discriminate any writers. All contributors are equally important to us. We don’t tolerate arrogant behaviour against aspiring writers. Offenders are removed.
We encourage all aspiring writers to find their voice in a safe and supportive environment and gain experience. As our chief editor highlights, no one was born as a writer. We all start from somewhere and learn gradually. Some of us learn faster and some of us learn slower.
Our pubs are flexible to publish both draft and self-publish articles to support you. However, we recommend drafts to get best exposure from the publication readers. If you have curated articles from closed publications, you are welcome to transfer them. We have a home for previously distributed stories. Many writers from PSILY transferred their stories and they gained new readers.
Writers of our pubs come from different professional backgrounds, skill levels, and expertise. We strive for creating a rich community spirit. We support all types of writers by cross-pollinating them to get the best out of our pubs. We don’t tolerate toxic behaviour per Medium guidelines. Medium is a peaceful and supportive platform for writers and readers.
Writers are not exclusive to our pubs. As a contributors, you can publish in and contribute to as many other publications as you want. We support your goals. You may remove your articles when you want to. You may also leave our publications with no permission. There is no obligation. The only obligation is to follow Medium rules. If you want to establish your own publications, we might help you promote them. Dr Yildiz helped many writers to start their publications and promoted them in his circles.

Publishing on Medium and adding stories to publications is very easy. New writers always ask this question. To publish stories in our publications you need is to click on the three (…) dots in the edit mode. You will see the publications listed when you submit your story. You can choose the relevant publication to send your story to. After that, just click on the submit button. Publication editors will receive your story, review it. If it meets Medium rules, they will publish it. If you don’t see our pubs in the list, this means that there was a glitch so we need to add you again. Please leave a message on this post.
