Facebook for Medium Stories
Amplify Your Medium Stories with Facebook Pages and Groups
Use ILLUMINATION Facebook pages and groups to create visibility for your Medium stories

Introduction
In my previous articles, I highlighted two important social media sites to amplify Medium stories for a broad audience.
The first one was about Quora Spaces.
The second one was about Pinterest Boards.
In this post, I want to introduce the Facebook Pages of ILLUMINATION and ILLUMINATION-Curated to amplify your stories. We developed these pages to help our writers to share their Medium stories and attract new readers.
In addition, I want to introduce and invite you to our new Facebook group for our writers, contributing to both ILLUMINATION and ILLUMINATION-Curated.
I won’t go into details on how to create accounts for Facebook as I believe everyone nowadays has a Facebook account. My focus is to introduce our Facebook pages and the new Facebook group.
First, let me explain the difference between a Facebook page and a Facebook group.
Facebook page is a static site that you can share your posts.
Facebook group is an interactive site that you can share your posts but also engage with others by creating conversation topics.
I recommend our Facebook pages for ILLUMINATION and ILLUMINATION-Curated to share links to your Medium articles.
The purpose of the new Facebook group is to create a platform to collaborate on our Medium writing practice and chat about other useful topics that may enhance our writing capability.
Like many others, I am not a fan of using Facebook for socializing. I observed many toxic sites wasting time. However, with the lessons learned, our Facebook group will be different. We will moderate it to maintain healthy conversations.
Our aim is to facilitate healthy conversations and uplifting interactions. We won’t allow gossiping, creating allegations, and other harmful communication behavior. We designed this group purely to help writers improve their skills.
For example, our writers can create writing prompts, discuss their daily challenges, seek advice for improvement, enhance their network, and request peer reviews.
How to access the ILLUMINATION Facebook page and share your articles

Step 1
Enter the ILLUMINATION Facebook page into your browser.
The Facebook page for ILLUMINATION is:
https://www.facebook.com/MediumIllumination
Or you click on the following link.
Step 2
Click on the Create Post button.

Step 3
Copy your Medium article link as shown in this screen capture.
As soon as you copy the link, Facebook will embed the photo of your article.

Step 4
Click on the Post button.
Your article will be posted to ILLUMINATION Facebook page as shown in the following screen capture.

As you can see, it takes only around 30 seconds to post a Medium article to a Facebook page. It is easy and not time-consuming.
The post can show you how many people reached your post and how many people engaged, such as liked it, commented on it, or shared it.
Facebook also allows you to boost the post if you pay. If you want to boost an important article, you can check the terms and conditions for boosting. Clicking on the boost button will allow you to read the requirements for advertising your post. Boosting a post is optional.
How to access the ILLUMINATION-Curated Facebook page and share your articles

You follow the same steps above.
The only difference is the Facebook page address.
The link to ILLUMINATION-Curated Facebook page is:
https://www.facebook.com/illuminationcurated
How to access ILLUMINATION and ILLUMINATION-Curated Facebook group
You need to click on the group link and request access.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/627001067961088
The site will ask you whether you are a writer for ILLUMINATION or ILLUMINATION-Curated as this is a private group exclusive to contributors to these two publications.
When you apply as administrators, we can see your application as shown in the following screen capture.
When I was authoring this story, there was an application from one of our writers so I use it as an example.
As you can see, we can approve or decline your application based on the question of “Are you a writer for illumination or illumination-curated on Medium?”
Our writer Christopher Akinlade answered as “both” since he contributes to both publications.
