Curated Collection — Nostalgia Series
Mike’s Favorite Stories on ILLUMINATION Publications — #70
Featuring engaging stories that you may enjoy as well

Dear avid readers and fellow Friends of Medium! My curation goal is to find valuable stories buried under the dust for your enjoyment. So far, I compiled 70 collections, giving you different reading options. Please consider engaging and sharing the stories read. My goal in creating these collections is to increase views and the engagement rate.
We loved the Oscars, and Oppenheimer did well. Yesterday, Aiden wrote a juicy story about it with his predictions. I enjoyed it very much. He said he would write about the results tomorrow. I look forward to it.
He also featured our new boosted stories today.
Yesterday, I wrote a story about my thoughts on bulk suspensions. You might have heard that Medium suspended many accounts. We wrote a short piece about it if you want to learn about the details.
Then I read a special testimonial from Dr Yildiz which touched my heart as we lost a supportive editor. Why I Firmly Believe Lanu Pitan Is Not a Fraud But an Avid Reader and Valuable Community Member
He also shared his perspectives by looking at the issue from both sides. His story made me more compassionate about both victims and Medium. As my account was suspended a few weeks ago, I know how painful it can feel. But the platform needs to remove useless leeches.
In a special episode, I shared some boosted stories I read. Some readers enjoy exceptional pieces so I add it here.
Aiden covers the new ones, and I focus on older stories to give readers a nostalgic experience. I add a few news ones, too, from my daily reading, or sometimes editors ping me to add exceptional stories. Each story is a gem worth your time. You may dive in, engage, and spread the word on social media so these stories can reach more readers. I tried to follow most writers I hadn’t met before, but the system stopped me after a while. I learned that I could follow only 150 writers a day, so I will try another day.
Aiden’s Collections
Here is his latest one with my friend’s link for anyone to read it. He has already created 94 collections, always finding gems from hidden corners.
We added new writers today. I will add them to the end of this so you can easily follow them if you wish. You may start exploring their profiles and connect with them if they resonate with you. Collaboration is a great thing here.
Now another great editor The Sturg joined the curation team and he posted his first well-designed collection. He put lots of effort into creating this. I know how challenging and time-consuming it is to create these collections. So please engage in his collection and share it on your socials.
Update on Boosting
If you are into boosting things, recently, Dr Yildiz answered frequently asked questions from writers and readers about the boost program on Medium, which gave me a few surprises as a writer and editor. I wish I had read something like this a year ago. No wonder none of my stories got boosted, causing me to pause writing, but he shows us hope.
ILLUMINATION-Curators compiled our boosted stories in February, 2024. You may find exceptional stories from this.
They also created a new Reader’s Club post with many great stories.
New Interviews
Recently Dr Mehmet Yildiz interviewed another famous writer Genius Turner. He is a gem, and you might enjoy this story as much as I did. I am now following Genius to learn from his insights.
Here’s an interview with Shirley Willett. She is my senior so I send her my respect. I also featured one of Shirley’s story today about 6th dimension.
Meet another experienced writer David Mokotoff, MD. You can learn about his interesting background. I love David’s informative and humorous stories.
I found interesting interviews with writers and added them to a post so that you may find them easily. They are captivating and full of life lessons.
Aiden’s Boost Education
Aiden compiled our boosted stories. It is full of gems.
He introduced the boosted stories of Jozsef Kovacs as part of his boost education. I remember he did a few more before, possibly at the end of his last one.
The day before he introduced the boosted stories of Dr Joan Naidorf
Newsletter
One quick highlight is that our new newsletter is now ready on Medium. It was also posted on Substack for our subscribers. Monthly Updates from ILLUMINATION Editorial Team: February 2024
Influencing Non-Members
You may check this open letter from Dr Mehmet Yildiz to non-members. He observed that a large number of readers and writers are non-members who do not contribute to the platform’s growth. I believe you will find his points valuable and relatable.
To influence non-members, I listed all the boosted stories I read last month and provided my thoughts, including some common patterns in these exceptional stories. You will love them. There is something for everyone, as these exceptionally well-written stories cover many topics and different writing styles.
I also wrote two short stories recently to keep my brain active.
You can find them in this list if you missed the previous collection.
Enjoy My favorite stories and Some Nominated Ones from ILLUMINATION publications today.
