These 5 Habits Will Fix 90% of Your Life Problems

Your habits say everything about you. They become your identity and tell others that this is who you are.

I am going to turn 26, and I have had many challenges in the past. I found myself carrying a lot of heavy baggage of missed opportunities and regrets.

It doesn’t mean that I’m not proud of who I am today, it’s just to try to do the right things and be better at it every day.

I think we all get to that place where we have a list of things we want to achieve, imagining ourselves as the person we want to be, and then thinking later that we will never get there because it’s all a bit too hard.

The good news? It’s not that difficult.

You just need to tell yourself that once you understand that habits can change, you become responsible for remaking them.

Developing habits doesn’t have to be complicated. You have the power to select the habits you want that will help you become the person you want to be.

If you’re not sure which habits to add to your daily routine, here are my 5 simple basic habits that will solve 90% of your daily problems.

1. Plan your Day the Night Before.

Panning ahead is something that makes your day so much simpler and easier.

It helps us prepare mentally for the next day. Our brain loves to solve problems and giving a heads-up of what is coming up the next day makes us ready to take action.

Your next morning turns from the rush to relax.

If you have no clarity about what to get done, you’ll be busy, but not productive.

If you plan your day the night before, you’ll not only get more done in less time but also experience more flow.

Here’s a simple example of my weekend morning planning:

  • Wake up at 4:30 AM, and follow the morning routine.
  • 5 AM — Start Writing.
  • 6 AM — Workout.
  • 7 AM — Breakfast.

It does not have to be sharp at 7 AM or 8 AM, but it’s better than having no plan.

If you give yourself a basic framework for your days, you’ll be much more likely to pack your days with useful work that adds value to your life.

2. Create a Morning Routine.

So, What did you do this morning?

Hit the snooze button too many times? or Mindlessly scrolling through your social media feed?

Tim Ferriss said this — “If you win the morning, you win the day.

The way you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of the day. So create a realistic morning routine that works for you. Don’t just have an endless to-do list that makes it difficult to follow.

Let me share with you a few points on how creating a morning routine can be a game-changer:

  • Mental Clarity — It helps in clearing your mind.
  • Consistency — You learn to start the day with intention which leads to creating consistency.
  • Creates More Time — You’ll find yourself with more time on your hands.
  • Reduce Stress — It becomes less stressful because you know what to expect.

There isn’t one perfect morning routine that I can give to you. You have to create one for yourself that is going to work for you.

3. Say “No” When you Mean No.

I was a sucker for saying yes.

Sometimes I even say inside “No, No, No” and then I say “Yes.”

So, why is it so difficult to say “No” when you want to say “No”?

I will tell you, and I can guarantee that you will agree too.

I realized I was afraid of saying no because I would disappoint someone, make them angry, hurt their feelings, lose my relationship with them, or appear to be rude.

I don’t want them to think negatively about me, but I can suffer the feeling of guilt and stress because of saying yes.

That’s wrong.

Saying “No” doesn’t mean you are being rude or selfish, you are just choosing your own opinion about yourself over others, and that makes you valuable.

I never feel free and happy when I depend on other people’s approval.

Learning to say no has changed my life completely. It has helped me feel free, and in control, and allowed me to focus on things that are important to me.

If you want that same feeling, learn to say “No.”

4. Make Time For Movement.

Human bodies are built to move.

Once you start moving for 30 to 60 minutes, every waking hour helps you feel your best.

You can do this in any form like walking, jogging, stretching exercises, or lifting weights.

I have personally been working out for almost 6 years, and here’s what I have noticed:

  • Boosted my confidence.
  • Increased my energy.
  • Improved my mood.
  • Improved my posture.
  • Sleep and live better.

Adding a small amount of movement to your daily routine can make a big difference in your everyday, as well as your long-term, health and well-being.

So let’s get moving.

5. Get Enough Sleep.

You have to have enough sleep to do anything. It’s just as important as eating a diet and exercising.

The recommended amount of sleep for a healthy adult is at least seven hours.

If Elon Musk can sleep for 6 hours, you can too.

So just do it.

Period.

It’s Your Turn.

It’s your turn to get out of your comfort zone and leave your old habits for a reason:

To improve your life.

Don’t start with all at once, at least start with one today and then gradually stack them over as you go by.

Make your time count going forward!

Happy New Year.
