Halloween Event Coming To Overwatch 2

In a recent post, I spoke about some free items and a double XP event coming to Overwatch 2 this month. Well, now, in addition to that, the sequel to their last Halloween event is coming on the 25th of this month and is titled Junkenstein’s Revenge: Wrath of the Bride.

In the last Halloween event, Junkrat took the stage as the event’s main antagonist, whereas this time, it looks like it’s going to be Sombra. Interestingly the event will apparently be a unique new game mode, according to Blizzard president Mike Ybarra.

The official Overwatch Twitter page posted a very short clip teasing their Halloween event, but unfortunately, they didn't give us any hints regarding the new game mode. The clip subtly showcases a spooky-looking map in black and white with text that states, “Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror.” In addition, a voice can be heard stating the following.

This defiantly is not haunted. No monsters here. Family friendly fun.

According to a tweet by a user named OverwatchNaeri, the new game mode will be PvE mode. Additionally, there will be a few cosmetics up for grabs during the event. Take a look at their tweet below if you’d like to see a few upcoming skins.

After the rough launch that Overwatch 2 had, it seems as though Blizzard is trying their best to make up for it. In my opinion, they’re doing a great job. With the Halloween event, XP events, and free items, I’m sure most of us can move on from the rough start.
