Mobile Games Will Soon Be Playable on PC

Gaming News

As I have mentioned in my previous posts, I am an avid PC gamer.

I do enjoy occasionally playing on other consoles for certain exclusives, such as Gran Turismo and Legend Of Zelda, but my preferred gaming platform is PC.

With that being said, I have recently been playing a lot of Rocket League Sideswipe, which is a 2D mobile version of Rocket League.

Unfortunately, this game is only available for iOS and Android devices, so I usually connect my controller to my phone in order to play.

As you can imagine, this gets very annoying sometimes, especially when I'm trying to talk to my friends on Discord.

Fortunately, though, I just came across some interesting news regarding Google Play Games.

Google just announced today that they had launched their Google Play Games for PC beta.

The beta will be accessible to anyone within the following countries:

Australia

Hong Kong

South Korea

Taiwan

Thailand

This means anyone from these regions will have the opportunity to play a variety of Android games on their PC.

Google Play Games for PC can be downloaded from the Google Play Games website.

If you scroll down on the website, you will see a variety of games that are currently supported for the beta.

There are around 40 titles available which is a fair amount considering this is just a beta.

Admittedly I was a little disappointed Rocket League Sideswipe wasn't on there, but honestly, I'm just happy I’ll soon be able to play it on my PC.

Although, I will still be downloading the beta just to see how well it works.

Here’s a list of the minimum system requirements in order to run a game on Google Play Games PC:

OS: Windows 10 (v2004)

Storage: SSD with 10 GB of available storage space

Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU or comparable

Processor: 4 CPU physical cores

Memory: 8 GB of RAM

Windows admin account

Hardware virtualisation must be turned on

It doesn't seem you need to have a very powerful computer in order to run this application.

I’m really looking forward to when the full version of this program is released so that people like me can finally play mobile games on a more comfortable setup.
