Rocket League has had multiple Halloween-themed events over the years, but his year's upcoming event looks a lot more promising.
Starting on the 19th of October, the 2022 Rocket League Halloween event will begin, which comes with horror movie-themed items and a couple of themed game modes.
Much like previous events, players can complete challenges specific challenges during the event, which will unlock certain items themed after horror movie villains, including the following:
Billy the Puppet from Saw
Chucky from Child’s Play
Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Sam from Trick'r Treat
There will be a car decal and wheel for each of these villains. Players can also unlock various other Halloween-themed items from these challenges, as well as Golden Pumpkins, which will reward players with a random item from the Velocity, Triumph, and Auriga Item Series.
Additionally, horror movie-themed player anthems will be available to purchase from the item shop. These anthems include:
Hello Zepp
Chucky’s Laugh
Leatherface’s Chainsaw
Treat’r Treat music by Michael Douglas
John Carpenter’s Halloween theme
The Muse song You Make Me Feel Like It’s Halloween
There will also be a new goal explosion for grabs on the item shop, which will be themed after Billy the Puppet and cost 800 credits.
Best of all, we will get two new game modes during this event. The first of which is called Super Cube.
In this mode, the ball will take the shape of a cube with maximized speed and bounciness. Super Cube will be available from October 19–26.
The second game mode is the well-known and much-loved mode called Heatseeker, which will be available from October 26 to November 1.
Lastly, we will get a spooky variant of the Farmstead arena, which will only be available during this event.
From my experience with this arena which is already in the game, it looks a lot spookier and darker than I expected.
