Opinions

  • The author believes that the Supreme Court has made significant errors in its rulings, particularly in the context of Roe v. Wade and abortion rights.

Synopsis

  • General Basis: Good programs work, bad ones don’t.
  • Approach: Specific issues & bad programs. They criticize social customs, The Supreme Court, The House, both parties, and Trump personally for incompetency.
  • Picture: Justice is frequently in the eye of the beholder.

TOC Methodology

  • Medium has made it extremely difficult for a new reader to see your entire portfolio. Even a TOC with all of my articles is long. This post is a sub-category with descriptions and links to my articles.
  • Sections: Abortion, Miscellaneous, Local, Trump, COVID
  • Example:

Bad Laws

  • 40 Billion to construct.
  • 20% tax increase.
  • Social Security is running out of money.
  • Control of Congress will determine who gets taxed for it
  • The rich CEO or the low-income seniors.
  • Student loans differ greatly from regular loans
  • Fix it without forgiving any loans
  • Good programs work, bad ones don’t.
  • The student loan program was a great idea
  • It was set up in the worst possible way.
  • This abortion bill may have opened a huge Pandora’s box
  • It’s worst provisions, unrelated to abortion, may be written into other laws

GOP

  • Not the same party that I registered for in 1970
  • Republicans voted against 15 bills to help average citizen
  • No longer for Law & Order
  • Why Trump passed Lyndon Johnson as the worst president I voted for
  • Introduction of “phantom” bills
  • Posting misleading numbers makes me wonder if anything else is accurate

Abortion

  • People have no idea what labels accurately apply to them
  • The Supreme Court’s new conservative majority goes back 200 years to support their decision on Roe-v-Wade.
  • Using that logic, there is no constitutional right to own automatic weapons.
  • They searched solely for cases that supported their preconceived ideas
  • Texas abortion law — sections can be expanded to other areas
  • It has already happened to guns, schools — link to Jan 26 article included
  • By instituting chaos and legalizing extortion, torture, and vigilantism
  • If upheld, the state would become the new overseer
  • The abortion bill may have opened a huge Pandora’s box
  • The worst provisions, unrelated to abortion, may be written into every other law
  • Someone said, “Anti-abortionists are so worried about the fetus, but don’t care about the baby after it is born.
  • The Supreme Court made one big mistake with Roe-v-Wade when addressing the first half of that statement.
  • Also, the Court, Congress, religions, nobody, seriously mentions the other half of the abortion problem. This article identifies both parts and proposes a workable solution.
  • How abortion, slavery, gun control, church taxation, and the Bible relate to each other.

Miscellaneous

Misc. — voting

  • March, 2019. I have not read the current bill (2021) but expect that they are clones.
  • There is a lot of false hype surrounding the bill.
  • The bill would cause many cultural changes and is not technologically feasible as written.
  • A similar article entitled Why the “Voter Empowerment Act” is actually the “Voter Fraud Act” in Reality with a slightly different perspective was published the previous day, but is not included in the TOC.
  • It’s basically a good idea, but not with today’s technology and data.

Misc. — abortion

  • The sex act itself would set up the 18-year obligation and a pregnancy would exercise that option.
  • Men can’t do all things for the child, but they can work for 18 years to provide financial support.
  • Currently, women take all the risks with sex. Men take none.
  • DNA at birth immediately identifies the sperm provider.
  • Other things, like the voting process, criminals and law enforcement, insurance, medicine, international travel, abortion, child support, credit verification, and who knows what else, will change.
  • Physical credit cards may disappear and cash could become almost obsolete.
  • What would happen if women in the U.S. didn’t?
  • Currently, it’s a huge burden to change her business cards, passport, driver’s license, credit cards, bank accounts, health record links, Facebook account, and maybe a hundred other things.
  • Logically, it makes no sense except to show ownership by the man.
  • Women in many other countries don’t change their last name. This article examines some of those customs and some strange ramifications here in the States.

Misc. — general topics

  • Here is how some get their hate-filled, ignorant comments past the censor
  • Most such comments are political
  • The general method of manufacturing
  • No longer for Law & Order
  • Why Trump passed Lyndon Johnson as the worst president I voted for
  • February, 2021. Racism, sexism, and other prejudices are built into the language and culture.
  • It takes years, decades and centuries to change a culture significantly. Constant attention and effort.
  • June, 2020. You can’t believe the News critters with their filters. Here is a first-hand account.
  • December, 2019. Another executive order promising savings with smoke and mirrors.

Local — The Villages, FL

  • How do you fight the giant
  • Going back on its agreements, threatening to devalue your homes, endangering your physical wellbeing,
  • And asking the county to help with a blank check?
  • The fix was already in, but they still had to have public hearings.
  • If the local government is about to do something detrimental to your neighborhood or an agency has misbehaved, you may need to testify. Here are some tips.
  • Testimony Text — Sumter County Board Text that was reviewed at the writers club meeting.
  • The developer in The Villages, FL has proposed building apartments inside a gated retirement community of single-family housing.
  • One apartment, if built properly to blend in, may not cause much damage — maybe- but the residents feel it is the first of many.
  • This article covers the impact of changing traffic patterns caused by many people living in such a small space.

Trump

He became a sub-category when he, personally, became an issue beyond being President.

Trump — general subjects

  • If you support Trump, what does that make you?
  • Every political leader has to give news conferences.
  • The President, correctly, gave status reports every day during the COVID crisis.
  • His performance was terrible.
  • Pro athletes give better interviews. Even his supporters on my Facebook page say they cringe.
  • The elite in historical fiction treated the common people and their workers like children. They even referred to them as children at times.
  • I never thought I would see it in real life!
  • Jan 21, 2020. First impeachment, the Democrats appeared just as dumb as the Republicans did when they impeached Bill Clinton for his sexual practices in the Oval Office.
  • August, 2020. Another attempt by Trump to fix the election.
  • According to TV news, post office boxes are being picked up, postal worker hours are being cut back.
  • And the Post Office would not have enough money to operate effectively enough to guarantee delivery of mail-in ballots.

Trump — Jan 6 & beyond

  • 7 direct calls to overthrow the constitution
  • 44 incitements to a frenzy
  • Jan 7, 2021. Insanity. n. mental illness of such a severe nature that a person cannot distinguish fantasy from reality… (www.psychologytoday.com)
  • Trump told his brainwashed fanatics that the election was stolen by a vast nationwide conspiracy and he won by a landslide.
  • Feb 12, 2021. The United States has been attacked three times during the lifetime of some Senators sitting in judgment. Two attacks were external and one was domestic.
  • Unfortunately, the GOP is still perpetuating the lie that this did not happen.
  • Jan 28, 2021. If you don’t hold people accountable, their behavior gets worse.
  • This set the example. My senators, Scott & Rubio, voted to condone any action a future President might take between the election and Jan 20th.
  • Jan 12, 2021. He got away with his antics and the attempted overthrow of the Constitution, the world saw that the United States is not based on its own laws.
  • The President, and any future president, can flout them without consequences.
  • Jan 10, 2021. Why it was a coup attempt.
  • The mob was chanting “Kill Pelosi” and “Hang Pence.” Had they succeeded and Mitch McConnell been killed, there would be no elected official remaining in the Presidential Succession.
  • The GOP is now claiming that nothing happened and blocked all attempts to investigate the event.

COVID

  • How to lie with statistics
  • My other articles are based on philosophy, easy to argue, hard to apply
  • You don’t trust the FDA — your actions speak otherwise
  • Don’t want government control — you submit every day
  • Both Antivaxxers & Taliban have been emotionalized in the current news
  • Deaths were caused directly or indirectly by intentional actions of others
  • If you don’t like to sing Happy Birthday while you wash your hands, try this song.
  • July, 2020. Some people are frustrated that the government is telling them what to do and get upset to the point of public brawls.
  • Is that really the example that people want to give to small children — throwing tantrums in public?
  • June, 2020. India, with its spike this spring, demonstrates this point magnificently! Important to remember for future epidemics.
  • March, 2020. When a fire is raging, the firefighters should not debate what flowers to plant at the fire station before going to fight the fire.
