Summary

The website content discusses the disconnect between political rhetoric and the actual voting records of Republican lawmakers, as highlighted by a "REPUBLICAN VOTE TRACKER" list, and reflects on the implications for American democracy and citizens' well-being.

Abstract

The content presents a critical view of recent Republican political actions, contrasting campaign promises with a list of legislative votes that appear to oppose measures aimed at benefiting the general public. These measures include affordable gas, insulin, stimulus checks, the Voting Rights Act, ending gerrymandering, fighting climate change, prosecuting wealthy tax evaders, codifying Roe v. Wade, banning war weapons, combating domestic terrorism, implementing background checks, providing baby formula, stopping domestic violence, supporting veteran cancer care, upholding election results, and extending child tax credits. The author questions the integrity of representatives who voted against these initiatives, suggesting they have violated their oath to the Constitution, particularly in light of the January 6th Capitol attack. The content also references articles that critique the Supreme Court's approach to Roe v. Wade, compare the current Republican Party to the Nazi Party of 1938, and discuss the historical causes of current economic shortages and inflation.

Opinions

  • The author implies that a majority of voters are misled by political advertising, believing that Republican politicians are acting in their best interest.
  • There is a strong suggestion that Republican lawmakers have consistently voted against legislation that would benefit average citizens, as evidenced by the "REPUBLICAN VOTE TRACKER" list.
  • The author expresses that the Republican Party's current actions are a departure from its historical stance, particularly noting a change since 1970.
  • The content criticizes the Supreme Court for failing to uphold the Constitution in the context of Roe v. Wade, describing their actions as "cowardly."
  • The author believes that the Republican Party has effectively ceased to exist as a traditional political party, drawing a parallel between it and the 1938 German Nazi Party.
  • There is an opinion that the current supply chain problems and inflation are not the fault of recent U.S. Presidents but are instead the result of actions taken before 1980.
  • The author is skeptical about the ability of interest rate changes to resolve current economic issues, such as shortages and inflation.

Political Claims: Fact or Sadistic Fantasy?

Unfortunately, a majority of voters actually believe what they hear

I have been watching all kinds of Republican political ads on TV about how they are helping the average citizens in many areas.

Then I read this article on MSN and came across this list about senators and house members in the reader comments section (names are not shown in comments):

REPUBLICAN VOTE TRACKER

* 100% Voted Against Cheaper Gas * 100% Voted Against Cheaper Insulin * 100% Voted Against Stimulus Checks * 100% Voted Against The Voting Rights Act * 100% Voted Against Ending Gerrymandering * 100% Voted Against Fighting Climate Change * 100% Voted Against Prosecuting Rich Tax Chests * 100% Voted Against Codifying Roe V Wade * 99% Voted Against Banning War Weapons * 99% Voted Against Fighting Domestic Terrorism * 96% Voted Against Background Checks * 94% Voted Against More Baby Formula * 87% Voted Against Stopping Domestic Violence * 84% Voted Against Veteran Cancer Care * 68% Voted Against Upholding The Election * 100% Voted Against Child Tax Credits

Don’t call these lies — they are verifiable with any search.

Voting against anything that would benefit the citizens of this country is bad enough. Even worse, however, is the fact that our representatives violated their oath to Congress to protect and defend the Constitution. They do that by covering up the attempted overthrow of a specific section on Jan 6.

I am not familiar with all of the bills they voted against, meaning I have not read them. I would appreciate any comments if you have actually read any of them.

For example, how I would write a comment about Codifying Roe V Wade.

That bill needed to be fixed by removing the middle option and basing it on the 13th Amendment instead of some vague privacy rights. Good idea but not quite there. Unfortunately, that is not the reason the Republicans voted against it.

Thanks in advance for your comments.
