Why create a list of top Medium story responders?
Well, truth be told it is a strategy I picked up from writing for other Medium publications apart from my own. It is a means of conveying gratitude, getting recognized, and building trust.
With this particular Medium story, I want to thank my top Medium responders for February. Because without you, my growth would not be possible. Just keeping to my promise I made with another Medium story.
The more active you are engaging with us on Medium, the better your chances of getting mentioned in similar posts. But not only are you getting mentioned, but your Medium stories will also form part of a curated list.
I create these lists because we are here to pick one another up, and the purpose of this is to reward you with extra exposure. Thank you for your time and effort throughout the month.
Making it possible for us to grow together because that is what this is about. We are all on the same mission, so we might just as well build a “squadron”.
Medium publications use curated list posts to welcome new writers and showcase their articles for the week or month. Which is an outstanding way to leverage appreciation. A kind gesture can go a long way!
So, I just decided to alter the strategy just a bit. Mentioning, like in this case my top Medium responders. It is a rather sound content marketing strategy and invites quite a bit of response.
Your Medium responders are what cultivate growth.
Growth is both cultivated and growth rate is determined by the rate of engagement. By mentioning other writers and authors you create curiosity because they receive a notification that they are mentioned.
Each and every response you have on Medium comes with a great advantage. Because to the best of my knowledge, most algorithms focus on activity rate. The notification kind of like compels your reader to take a look.
See, with YouTube for instance you can rank a video page one in a matter of seconds. But in a day or so your ranking goes from page one to page none! Why is that? In a word, algorithm.
The more engaging and active your content is, the better your chances of getting preference in home page feeds. Or that is if I understand this whole algorithm thing correctly.
Ranking anything for that matter is really not that hard, maintaining the ranking position, however, well, that’s an entirely different “ball game”. Therefore, again I thank each and every one of you for your contributions.
For your time reading my stories, your time interacting, and always having only kind responses. I really appreciate that; you give me a reason to get up at 4 AM in the morning to “get a few lines in” before my day job starts.
I am humbled by your kindness and appreciation. This is just my way of “returning the favour” so we can grow together!
Being the top responders perhaps you want to link up!
In light of this curated reading list is that of my personal top responders for the month of February. Perhaps you might want to check out their profiles. When I say, “most responsive”.
I mean that I have around 170 published Medium stories, with 2264 responses. That is how active my Medium responders are and growing rapidly. All the more reason for you to check them out. They are responsible for a lot of.
Generous Claps.
Quality Comments.
Informative Private Notes.
Become New Subscribers.
Sending Inquiry Emails.
Yes, that is how responsive they are. And this all adds up to “feeding the algorithm”. Although, admittedly, the “lead magnet” (free giveaway) in every Medium story footer I write might play a role in the email subscribers growing rather rapidly and consistently.
