How Music Saved Me? You Should Give It A Chance As Well.

Music can not only evoke one’s emotions but also connects people across different background and languages. I learned a lot more about my sentiments through music. I can’t ignore how important music has been to keep me sane.
My introduction to music
Unlike others, I wasn’t always fond of listening to music. The only time I used to listen to music was when someone listened to music around me, but things changed when I stepped into my teenage. During my growth years, I first started listening to music and not just listening I started feeling it. And eventually, it became my way to escape reality. After all, music has the ability to control our emotions.
Even though I now listen to all kinds of music, things were different back then. I used to listen to music that had good beats and rhythm in it and the lyrics didn’t matter at all. But after some time I realized that music isn’t only listened to while dancing or while you’re in a good mood. Music should be listened to when you’re alone, when you feel low when there’s no one to listen to you, and when you don’t want to be near anyone. It improved my feelings as a human and taught me that I don’t need someone to lean on every time I’m down. I just need to be alone somewhere quiet and listen to music.
Getting to know my soul
I discover new things about myself every time I listen to different genres of music, there is the music of every kind out there. For example;
- Pop — this genre often has upbeat, catchy tunes that can be great for lifting your mood and getting you dancing.
- Electronic dance music (EDM) — if you’re looking for music to help you let loose and get lost in the beat, EDM can be a great choice.
- Jazz — this genre can be great for relaxing or creating a mellow atmosphere, with smooth melodies and cool rhythms.
- Classical — if you’re in the mood for something sophisticated and timeless, classical music can provide a sense of elegance and beauty.
- R&B — this genre can be great for setting a romantic or sultry mood, with soulful vocals and smooth grooves.
- Rock — if you’re feeling angry or rebellious, some hard-hitting rock music might be just what you need to release your emotions.
- Country — for a laid-back, rustic vibe, country music can provide twangy guitars and lyrics about small-town life.
I prefer this type of music to listen to according to my mood. It not only enhances my mood but also gives me mental strength. For example; Whenever I go through a rough time I close my eyes with some R&B music playing in the background. I can feel myself healing and getting better from the inside instantly.
Connecting with people
Music is a great tool to connect with people with similar music tastes, and if you’re open-minded about every kind of music you’re more likely to make a good connection with every person who loves listening to music. Having the same vibe creates a strong bond. The majority of my friends have similar tastes in music, we have been friends for more than 5 years and we share a good bond with each other. Music also worked as an icebreaker every time I met someone new. Thus, music connects.
Conclusion
Music always has been the best getaway for me. I cannot imagine my life without music. I cannot be thankful enough to all the music creators around the globe and how they are helping me and millions of other people. I genuinely appreciate music.
