The Scriber’s Nook is home to lovers of fiction, poetry, and more.

☆ All writers (emerging or established) are welcome to join the Nook and showcase their creativity via short fiction, poetry, book chapters, memoirs, or just plain flights of fancy.

☆ Genre writer? Sci-fi, supernatural, romance, crime, speculative, historical? We love genre! 🚀❤️⭐️

The Scriber’s Nook continues to be a haven of prolific and eclectic offerings❣️

★ As writers for The Scriber’s Nook, we support each other. We are respectful, we read, we engage and we clap, (yes, keep that finger down and enjoy the fireworks until it reaches a nice morale-boosting❤️ 50! ❤️) It costs us nothing but the boost it provides our fellow writers is pretty nice.

Many of you are particularly prolific so multiple submissions by the same writer are featured.

BREAKING NEWS — Photo Prompts are coming soon!

★ Featured Writers

Light and Paper loves words and images, particularly photography and fiction.

Clarissa Ai Lee Ling, PhD interests lie in art science, speculative futures, technoscientific trends, cultural strategies, and media industries, with a sprinkle, here and there, of personal development.

Jamie Millard is a Medium top writer in poetry. He describes himself as a ‘passionate bard celebrating the creative alchemy of poetic expression on the magical wings of words’. And he’s not wrong!

Eva McInnes is a writer and editor who ‘writes a bit of everything’! Eva, we’re loving your bits of everything!

🌬️Mitch is a former pharmacist who’s now the ‘guy next door’, writing, gardening, and occasionally ‘plunking’ at his old guitar. He invites us to ‘pull up a chair’ to ‘stir the pot’ together!

Jamel Hendley is a writer and marketing architect behind PawProfits. He tells us he’s ‘fueled by the boundless spirit of his loyal four-legged companion, Sheba’.

Daphne Ayo describes herself as an ‘italicized poet, dog lover, chocolate junkie’, and ‘overthinker’! Welcome to the club, Daphne!

Paul Nankivell was born with Cerebral Palsy which fuels him to rewrite ‘mistaken narratives about disabled culture’. His writings (literally ‘redefining normal’) are fused with advocacy and empowerment.

Kari Nieves describes herself as a ‘freelance writer, storyteller, photographer, and entrepreneur’ who’s ‘passionate about New York’.

We recommend you check out Kari’s great images of New York here:

Reshma describes herself as a ‘student and polymath’ who sees ‘writing as magical ✨✨…’

Sujit Chakraborty’s interests lie in photography, travel, and mental well-being. He expresses his thoughts on life through verse.

Rebel Angel’s writing focuses on the ‘flashes’ and ‘slivers’ of life, including loss, heartache, hope, and love.

Yusuf Ali is experienced in graphic design, data science, and programming. His interests include writing fiction, short stories, and poetry.

Susi Moore is a writer, author, and editor of several publications here on Medium. Her focus areas are creative process, fiction, and cheer. We like a bit of cheer, especially on grey days …
