Photo Prompt 5 — The Bench

NOT OUT OF MIND …

Whenever I get some free time on a weekend, I take a long drive to that bench.

You may wonder why. Why am I so obsessed with the past?

It’s all about those anecdotes silently written in the air and stories told by the blossoming tree, hills and of course that bench.

We might have forgotten about our golden days of togetherness and innocence, but the bench remembers how you used to count my heartbeat before sunset when all the birds come back to their nests.

Everyone says out of mind means the end of a relationship … but the bench knows well that you haven’t gone out of my mind not even for a single moment of my existence.
