The Scriber’s Nook welcomes both aspiring and established authors.

The Scriber’s Nook is actively seeking story submissions! The Scriber’s Nook is a new publication, dedicated to fiction writers, storytellers, and poets.

So often, fiction writers on Medium find it hard to try out or showcase their creativity. Look no further, The Scriber’s Nook is your nook!

Submissions welcome for …

1. Short stories, short form, poetry, flights of fancy, story extracts, book chapters;
2. Genre writer? Sci fi, romance, speculative, historical, dystopian? We love genre! Go for it!
3. Whether a stand-alone piece or a series of writings, all are welcome here at The Scriber’s Nook.

Can You Kick It?

Yes, you can! Please use your kickers when submitting. So, for instance, if you’re submitting a short story, use ‘Short Fiction’ as your kicker. If your story is a particular genre, you can use ‘Short Fiction — Sci Fi’ etc, as your kicker. If you’re submitting an extract, use ‘Book Extract’ or ‘Book Chapter’ as your kicker. If you’re submitting poetry, use ‘Poetry’ and so on.

If you’ve not used a kicker before, here are some guidelines — with benefits!

If you’re already a writer for The Scriber’s Nook you can submit as usual … click the three dots at the top of your draft, then click Add to Publication then select The Scriber’s Nook.

☆ We do not accept previously published pieces — these tend to disappear down Medium’s time well and our readers just won’t see them.
