A Letter to a Friend

A long-time mind-crafted letter that I wish to share

Dear Friend

You were the first friend in my mind when I entered the school. “We will be best friends”, was my thought when I first saw you, but things don’t always go well, do they?

Likewise, we weren’t close best friends, but surely you are one of my best friends? Neither of us knows the real meaning of friendship. I remember asking the same question again and again but never got an answer.

School days aren’t gonna be back, but this relationship between you and me, I like it.

In this New Year, I need you to understand that you are always my first choice, but always a first choice will not persist forever. Yet, in my mind, it will last forever. Even if it’s a first love or a first friendship, to me, it is all the same

Wishing you, my friend, a great year, in which you can laugh more than the previous one!!
