In this post, we introduce our new editor Kurt Dillon, who volunteered to contribute to Illumination Integrated Publications on Medium.

Our publications include ILLUMINATION, ILLUMINATION-Curated, ILLUMINATION’ S MIRROR, ILLUMINATION Book Chapters, Technology Hits, SYNERGY, Readers Hope, Illumination Videos and Podcasts, Illumination Gaming, Lampshade of Illumination, and ILLUMINATION’s Blog. Kurt is a retired Major in the US Army who served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He is a devout Christian and the devoted husband and father/stepfather of eight children, four dogs, and one pregnant cat.

He is well-educated, graduating cum laude from Columbia University in 1997 with an M.A. in English/Journalism and an M.S. in Forensic Psychology. He also holds minors in History and Political Science

In his early career, Kurt worked as an acquisitions editor for Simon & Schuster Publications and has been an editor in some form or fashion for over 30 years now.

Kurt writes under numerous pseudonyms and has a deep-seated passion for the written word and helping writing novices develop and hone their communication skills.

Kurt is the Owner/CEO of WOMEN — Wild Orchid Media & Educational Network, Inc., the parent company of The Veritas 7 — True Crime Podcast and The Veracity Report global news agency.

He has been writing on Medium for about two years now, and he is very passionate about restoring integrity to journalism in the image of one of his childhood idols, the indefatigable Walter Cronkite.

He also enjoys cooking, true crime, investigative journalism, studying and writing about ships of all kinds, mysteries, and the jungle that is today’s American politics.
