In this post, we introduce Mr. Jacob Morales, a writer and new editor of Illumination Integrated publications on Medium.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Jacob Morales is a slender Hispanic man with many casual, self-taught hobbies and projects — some financially rewarding, others purely for the joy they bring.
Jacob is a full-time tech support engineer at CyberFortress, an innovative Texas startup that has rapidly evolved into a global player, making its mark in the expansive realm of cloud backup and data security.
Jacob’s fascination with technology has been a lifelong affair, kindled during his youth as he tinkered with various computer electronics.
Notably, he even undertook the ambitious task of constructing his very own gaming PC from scratch. His journey into the world of Information Technology (IT) began as an apprentice at Digital Documents Solutions, a local IT enterprise, where he cut his teeth as a tech support specialist.
Over time, he elevated his role to that of a systems engineer, delving deeper into operating systems, diverse data backup solutions, programming languages, and the intricacies of server management.
With a voracious appetite for reading and learning, Jacob’s interest in online blogging was a natural progression.
His literary interests span a wide range, gravitating primarily toward the realm of sci-fi and fantasy. Crafting words has become a source of both expression and therapy as he indulges in creative free-writing.
During his leisure moments, you’ll find Jacob immersed in gaming or pursuing various creative endeavors. A seasoned musician, Jacob boasts over 18 years of experience as a drummer while also dabbling in self-taught piano and guitar performances.
His musical prowess extends to composing and releasing his own music, as well as lending his engineering and mixing skills to his friends’ musical endeavors.
Photography also holds a special place in Jacob’s heart, as he gradually curates an online portfolio featuring captivating shots from his city and beyond.
Armed with both digital and film cameras, Jacob’s creative lens captures his unique perspective. While he leans towards digital photography, his ambitions include delving into filmmaking and portrait photography.
In the coming chapters of his journey, Jacob envisions expanding his skill set while sharing his insights and experiences with the Medium community.
A true team player at heart, he relishes collaboration, finding joy and purpose in collective endeavors that bring both growth and enjoyment to all involved.
Recently, Jacob joined our publications as a writer and volunteer editor initially to support our smaller publications in his free time. Let’s give a warm welcome to Jacob.
