Gerald Sturgill is a top writer and editor at Illumination Integrated Publications on Medium.
In this post, we’d like to introduce our editor, The Sturg (Gerald Sturgill). He is a blogger and top writer on Medium. He is currently disabled and lives in an RV and was previously living in a tiny home made from a box truck before that.
Mr. Sturgill completed tertiary education, holding degrees in Mathematics and Social Sciences.
His interests have constantly been varied as he is skilled and has studied multiple disciplines, including geography, foreign languages, physical science, philosophy, and political science. He is sometimes described as a polymath by his colleagues, friends, and by himself.
Mr. Sturgill has previously worked as a telecommunications billing supervisor at Verizon Wireless, an American cell phone company.
He is skilled in handling escalations and is very good at customer service. These skills certainly help him to engage in diplomacy with other writers when he provides valuable feedback.
Mr. Sturgill joined our editorial team in March as invited by chief editor Dr Mehmet Yildiz who saw the hard work and dedication that he put into his own publications.
Now he supports Illumination and the sister publications by reviewing drafts, providing valuable feedback to writers, and publishing their stories in a timely manner.
The primary goal of Mr. Sturgill is to support writers and foster a caring community through his writing and careful editing. His writing is outstanding, and he is a natural storyteller. He is also an avid reader who reads thousands of stories monthly on Medium.
He currently writes on Medium and has been writing on the platform since August 2021. He owns five publications.
