Pl🍳t Developments

  • 📈 I took to twitter for this age-old statistics challenge — on defining what a p-value is, with a bonus challenge for folks to explain the concept as if they were speaking to a child. Did anyone succeed? Those new to stats entirely, let me know!
  • 🍳 Also a personal favourite this week is getting everyone to teach me how to say egg in their language. I’m surely learning and absorbing all of these terms right now!
  • 🚿 A shower thought: marginalized people being told they need to be more resilient in face of adversity when the adversity is racism, sexism, ableism, etc. is reinforcing that this systemic context is the norm and the “change” should happen at the individual level.
