Summary

This web content is a reflective piece encouraging empaths to acknowledge and process their own emotions without being overwhelmed by external emotional turmoil.

Abstract

The article titled "Feel" is presented as a poem for fellow empaths, encouraging them to recognize and experience their own emotions rather than absorbing the world's emotional weight. It advises focusing on physical sensations as indicators of one's emotional state, such as tension in the jaw, shoulders, and hips, or the visceral reactions like a quickening heartbeat or butterflies in the belly. The poem suggests that emotions, though they can be overwhelming or even evasive, are an integral part of one's truth and should be tasted and understood as part of the human experience. Accompanied by images of the author's own crochet/painting artwork, the piece emphasizes the importance of not only witnessing but also feeling the depth of one's emotions.

Feel

A poem for fellow Empaths

Crochet/Painting artwork created and photographed by the author

You don’t have to feel the whole world just feel the tension in your jaws, shoulders, and hips

Don’t weigh yourself down with that quicksand of dramas just be that breeze witnessing what’s caught deep beneath

Feel that lump caught in your throat that quickening heartbeat the beads of perspiration butterflies in your belly fiery anger bursting through

Feel the nitty, gritty bits what textures are you feeling through your body? how does your breath travel through you?

Feelings can be intimidating seductive caught up in a blur

It’ll be a pity not to taste them for they form part of your loving truth.
