Summary

The website content is a poetry prompt inviting writers to reflect on and share a healthy habit they wish to engage in more frequently, using the dragonfruit as a symbol of health and enjoyment.

Abstract

The webpage presents a creative writing challenge centered around the theme of healthy habits, with a specific focus on the dragonfruit as an emblem of wellness. It encourages readers to consider and articulate through poetry a healthy practice they desire to incorporate more regularly into their lives. The prompt is accompanied by a captivating image of a dragonfruit, credited to photographer Pontus Ohlsson, and includes a brief haiku-like poem that captures the essence of the fruit as a healthy addition to one's diet. The page also provides instructions on how to participate in the challenge, inviting writers to tag others and contribute their own poetic reflections. Additionally, it features links to related content, such as submissions to "The Brain is a Noodle" publication and other works by the author, Lucy, who shares her personal theory about the sweetness of red-flesh dragonfruits compared to white ones and expresses a desire to eat more fruits.

Opinions

  • The author, Lucy, has a preference for red-flesh dragonfruits, believing them to be sweeter than the white ones, based on her personal experiences.
  • Lucy enjoys eating fruits and considers incorporating more of them, especially those she likes, into her diet as a healthy habit she wishes to adopt more often.
  • The prompt suggests that engaging in healthy habits can be seen as a form of self-indulgence or treat, rather than a chore.
  • The inclusion of tagging other writers indicates a community-oriented approach, encouraging collaboration and shared inspiration among participants.
  • The presence of links to other works and publications suggests that the author values the dissemination of creative content and invites further engagement with their work and the broader writing community on Medium.

Lucy (The Eggcademic) [she/her] has this running hypothesis that the red-flesh dragonfruits are sweeter than the white ones, though she has yet to have both at the same time and this comparison is based on memory. As a healthy habit, she would like to eat more fruits, especially ones she genuinely enjoys!
