in an era where time stretches, tempo rubato bouncing back like an elastic, accelerating beyond overwhelm as everything happens at once,

through this circus of mirrors our twisted visuals of elongated necks and shortened torsos,

as some jeered as I wore a mask and washed my hands, calling me a hypochondriac, telling me that I overperceived health threats and that this was anxiety, not truth,

it felt as even truth itself was twisted some faulty logic amplified beyond the weight it held, yet important messages silenced and ridiculed.

in music, the twists of tempo rubato are to artistically express emotion; in vision, the elongations of mirrors casting fun and laughter.

in truth we find the opposite, a yearning need to rectify algorithms from spreading falsehoods, to properly express what’s necessary to balance and to protect us.
