how to move on

A poem

Photo by John Rae Cayabyab from Pexels

when he stops calling do not count the hours you’ve been waiting to hear his voice

don’t make up reasons to reach out to him let him go

for all I know God has never been made to feel small when someone decided to turn away

pour yourself a bath realise that your love and gratitude is all you need in this life

and when they come back because they have witnessed your loss

turn them down.
