On the Quest To Find the Vodka!

A Poetry Prompt Response: use a word that originated from another language but is in everyday English lingo.

Where’s my vodka? I scream into the void, I blink and the void transforms into the kitchen. You drank it, says another drunken voice. I laugh and yell Oh, no, no, it’s just hidden!

On the quest to find the vodka then! I can’t really see who’s talking, but one thing is sure — he is a wise man! On the quest… We’re interrupted by some knocking…

Wait, what? Do you hear that? I ask, and try to keep my balance… You mean your steps? Or the cat? My mouth is open, but talking is a challenge.

I don’t have a cat, what do you mean? I finally yell out in absolute confusion, but he is already asleep… I think, and for that, I have one possible solution…

I look at the bottle in my right hand and try to splash its liquid on his face. Despite my great coordination, I miss his head, and my splash is half a meter to the left.

Hey, I yell because I’m a genius, I found the vodka! but I frown, It was in my hand, so convenient, but someone’s poured it on the ground…

I decided to use a Slavic word, being Slavic myself, and the first one that came to mind was my toxic friend “vodka”. (I swear I’m not drinking too much or irresponsibly!)
