Acrostic Poem: My Morning Mindfulness Meditation Experience

Poetry Prompt: Reflection Time aka Twenty-Six Minutes of Thought

Have you ever started a project full of fire, determined to see it through, yet your energy fizzles out within a week or two?

Me too!

However, I am pleased to share that I am still sticking with my intention to write my thoughts for 26 minutes every morning as part of my Reflection Time.

And it feels great.

Here’s an example of what I wrote during my 26 minutes, following my morning meditation.

Mindfulness: An Acrostic Poem about my morning mindfulness experience.

Moments of deep

Introspection.

Noticing the body.

Doing nothing — just

Focusing on the breath.

Until I

Lean away and

Loving

Notice my thoughts are

Engaged elsewhere.

So I gently come back to my breath and,

Start over again.

What’s your experience of mindfulness meditation?

Does your mind wander all over the place like mine!

When you wake up tomorrow, if you meditate, I invite you to sit quietly and record your early morning meditation practise and write about it for 26 minutes!

And, if you’re up for it, share your reflections here with other Brain Noodle readers!

And tag me or Lucy The Eggcademic (she/her) and we can cheer you along!

Thank you.
