Globetrotters Stories 4 September — 10 September
Many great stories during a slower-than-usual week.
It’s that time of year when the seasons are changing, kids are going back to school, and life just seems busy. It has been a slower week in the publication this week, and I have the feeling that we are all just getting ourselves resettled and organized for the final chapter of 2022.
Thank you, as usual, to all of you who have chosen to submit your stories to Globetrotters. We are quickly becoming the go-to publication for travel stories and more!
Story of the Week
As usual, there are so many great stories here in Globetrotters. I don’t set out with an intention to choose just one each week, I just let it (them) come to me. While so many were fun to read, this week I was enthralled with Michelle’s story of swimming 3 miles (4.8km) to an island off the coast of Senegal. She hadn’t planned to do it that day, she was just going to swim laps in the pool.
But when the opportunity came up to swim to an island instead, she said yes!
The power of saying yes to opportunities often leads us to things we could never imagine. In Michelle's case, she showed herself what she was made of by swimming in this enormous crossing.
Her story of triumph is inspiring and encouraging! It makes me wonder what we all could achieve if we just said yes more often. Thanks for sharing your story Michelle:)
JoAnn’s Weekly News
JoAnn Ryan keeps us up to date with her weekly news. If you are new to the publication (or even if you aren’t), this will provide you with a ton of information.
She also published an FAQ article that will hopefully answer all of your questions. But if you have any more, please don’t hesitate to ask!

We received 4 more writer spotlight stories. If you are new to Globetrotters, this is a great way to introduce yourself and let us know more about your traveling self.
September Monthly Challenge — The Harvest and The Food
