I was born in and grew up on the Portuguese mainland and traveled around the globe for a couple of years after I graduated. While I’ve had the chance to explore many cities and places, only Portugal has felt like home.

Sintra is a magical place that you can’t miss if you’re visiting Portugal. The small town is home to one of the most beautiful palaces in Europe and is among the best examples of Romantic architecture.

You’ll be able to enjoy its natural beauty and escape from bustling city life for a few days. Sintra is a charming town with breathtaking views of the ocean, mountains, and forests.

Sintra was once home to royalty. It’s filled with charming villas, manors, and beautiful gardens, but it’s also home to plenty of shops and restaurants. The best part? It’s just a 25-minute train ride from Lisbon.
