No matter how brilliant your mind or strategy, if you’re playing a solo game, you’ll always lose out to a team.— Reid Hoffman

We strive for increasing views and reading times for stories of our writers. The most pragmatic way is to create visibility and increase traffic proactively. With increasing number of writers and followers there is a substantial traffic spike within the last two weeks contributed by especially some idiotic backfiring campaigns against our noble mission. Many thanks to our writers and readers who support our vision and goals.

There is an excellent news today. One of our stories went viral and attracted tremendous traffic to our publication. This single story gained 711 hr 53 min read time within last 24 hours.

A story by Brian E. Wish, PhD

I shared my observations and opinions about this story earlier. When I was authoring this story a few hours ago it was 52,000, since then the story gained extra 6,000 views and still trending. You find more info about this story and the author of the story Brian E. Wish, PhD who is an accomplished writer and consulting editor of our publication.

We have several other stories which started trending. I will compile them in my upcoming bulletins.

In the meantime, here is an illustrative representation of our publication views in the last three days, to give you an idea.

Amazing things happen on ILLUMINATION each day. Serendipity can create magical moments.

New Writing Challenge

I want to offer a new writing challenge for our accomplished writers whose articles were curated.

As part of our cross-pollination goals, my aim is to collect educative and guiding stories about curation process to help our writers increase their chance of curation.

Since we have many top writers whose stories are curated, I want to transfer these skills to other writers who want to gain new experience. You can find our top writers from this list.

The purpose of this challenge for each curated writer is to create a story about curation guidelines based on experience. So the story outline can include the following points:

  1. Essential guidelines for content to be eligible for curation
  2. Specific points in each topic based on your specialty. For example, if you are curated on topic #writing, you can make recommendations about this particular topic. Each topic may have different styles.
  3. Samples from your curated stories, giving highlights
  4. Summary of the take of away points

You can use your creativity to make your story engaging and educative. These stories will be featured and distributed in our newsletters.

Please tag me in your stories so that I can find them quickly and include in our education pack.

By using the package, our new writers can learn from our accomplished writers; hence we can increase the curation chance for every writer.

This activity can also improve collaboration among our writers.

I also featured a story of a successful writer for a viral YouTube video reach to 364,696,486 views. You may be amazed by the story of Kaz Matsune.

Content Quality Focus

We strive for excellence. We make every effort to increase the quality of our stories and provide an enjoyable reading experience to our followers. Quality is an iterative process. I notice that the quality of our stories is increasing day by day. The curation rate increased.

We need to be proactive and maintain quality.

New writers: please ensure that you check your stories for typos, spelling, and grammar errors before submitting them to the publication. Our readers deserve high quality stories.

We have some volunteering editors who can perform a proof-reading for the writers from the non-English speaking background. You can search for volunteers from our Slack channel. One of the proof-reading tools our writers recommend is Grammarly. There may be other applications that you can use to improve readability of your stories

We curate valuable content for our readers; we create awareness and visibility of our content to wider audience. We also amplify Medium articles on social media to bring new readers and subscribers.

If you have already applied from different means and not added to the publication yet, please try again by directly writing to me. Some messages are easily lost on articles.
