Here are some easy ways to create videos

It is easy to create great looking videos these days using just a cell phone

I have shot video for a long time on my cell phone but was always afraid to ever edit any of my footage and post it online. I always worried that I wasn’t skilled enough as a videographer or that might footage wouldn’t have the quality look.

When ILLUMINATION started their YouTube channel, it broke the ice and made me realize what I had been missing out on by not learning how to create and edit videos.

Here is a video that I recently created using a couple of tools — an online video animation service, InShot on my cell phone and stock video footage from Pixabay:

Video is the future

Statistics show 85% of internet users watch online videos, according to Gaurav Sharma.

Some internet marketers say that video is necessary for creatives to adopt because of humans’ visual nature and the superior ability of video to tell stories.

As a visual species, humans find videos more engaging, more memorable, and more popular than any other type of content out there. Video as a means of storytelling and advertising is no longer a nice option — it’s a necessity. — Biteable.

I find video creation enjoyable

Video creation is enjoyable. I have always been a photographer since I was young. I remember taking pictures with a Kodak Instamatic camera when I was a young kid — even before going to school.

I have also dabbled in videography. I took a class in high school using bulky VHS equipment back in the late 1980’s. I had fun, but it was expensive, so I stuck with using hand held cameras, then switched to digital photographer.

But, cell phone technology has improved so much that decent video can be easily shot with an item that I carry daily and have with me all the time.

Editing is easy as well

I find editing is easy as well. All of the programs I have looked at or use work similarly. Add your video clips to the time line, trim them, add text or other effects, add a sound track and push the button to render the video. Nice and easy.

The nice thing about video editing is that you can play around with various cuts and effects and see how they will look. If you don’t like something or are inspired to try a different effect, it is easy to make your changes.

YouTube takes the hassle out of video hosting and embedding

I love being able to upload video to YouTube. It is easy to embed into my blog and stories here. I don’t have to worry about bandwidth usage on my server. YouTube does a great job of providing the videos to viewers from what I have observed.
