Dear Lovely Readers and Writers,

Last Thursday was my birthday. It was such a glorious day full of love and appreciation. Thank you all for your lovely wishes.

I took the day off and did my favorite things.

First, I went to a coffee shop and picked up an everything bagel with cream cheese and a latte. It was astonishing to find out the cashier’s sister is named Trista as well. It is not a name you see often.

Later on, I had a wonderful lunch at my husband’s office as a food truck visits nearby twice a week.

I contemplated what to do with the rest of my day. Then it came to me! I just wanted to wander around in a store. I could not remember the last time I had the joy of looking around just for fun.

Stopping by a store full of lovely things for the home treats, snacks, and more was just what I wanted.

It is what I now call blissful wandering.

A state of walking around, taking in everything in the present moment, and smiling at the sights.

I felt joy whenever I turned. and found something else. A fluffy pink chair with pillows, scented soaps, holiday sweets, and candles beckoned me to experience the happiness of their existence.

This week’s theme is blissful wanderings.
