Brewing a Cup of Appreciation
How to thank my coffee lady

“Adventure in life is good; consistency in coffee even better.” ― Justina Chen Headley, North of Beautiful
After my gym workout, I walked in the rain towards my friend’s coffee roastery and shop. There was a promise of a freshly brewed Americano on my mind.
The aroma of freshly roasted beans filled the air like the heady scent of the best perfume.
Keri told me she just got a contract to provide coffee for Laika studios of Coraline fame. I am so ecstatic for her. With every cup she brews, she is creating her dreams.
I love knowing where my daily cups of coffee started. I feel a deep appreciation and connection to each sip, knowing the work and dedication it takes to produce it.
As I headed out the door with my drink and two bags of beans to brew in my French Press at home, I felt thankful.
Let us appreciate everyone who brings our coffee to us. As writers, readers and creators, we relish each drop.
From the farmers to the harvesters, the roasters, and the baristas-everyone involved deserves a thank you note.

Tell me your coffee stories and how you appreciate your daily cups! Let me know in the comments. I appreciate you!
