It’s the month of November!

And that means it is time for NaNoWriMo- the annual event for budding writers and poets to start working towards realizing their dream of becoming a writer. Holding their inner critic and editor back, folks simply write, write, write!!!

My own novel began courtesy of the NaNoWriMo and while the novel was nowhere close to completion- at well over 50K words, I knew I had to see it to fruition. And voila! 365 Days of F(ib)B-ing was published!

I am grateful to NaNoWriMo for:

  • Helping me craft my first draft
  • Realizing I could write for 30 days straight
  • Showing me the joy of being part of a mass writers movement
  • The lovely prompts that the Regional Liaison Volunteers share- so inspiring!
  • The progress dashboard- who does not want to earn badges and points and shoot closer to their word counts?
