Strangers
Reach Out To Become Friends

Faceless melodies Kindred souls, I met a few strangers Once on the go.
They write happy, They write tight, They write sharp When reality bites.
They clap, They encourage, They caution when wrong, They walk with you, They smile at you, When you touch The sun.
I met a few strangers Just the other day, But can’t say they are strangers Looking at the day — Faceless they can be, But not without an aim, ‘Cos when you read them You can feel them as ‘them’.
They think their mind, They write their soul, They talk their heart, Reaching out, their goal.
A sceptic introvert That is me — Took some time To reach out to thee.
And when I did Wizardry unfurled, Verdancy enhanced Firmament blue it tuned, Like blithe passerines I flew around free, No more judgements Understanding, as it Be.
I learnt my lessons To open my heart Even to strangers Who crossed my path To believe in life And what it has In hoard, You can never know How surprises will Flow.
I met a few strangers No, not strangers anymore… They are soul mates The cosmos had in store!
This is dedicated to all writers/poets I met in this platform as strangers and became friends in such a short span of time.Realised the power of Reaching Out.
Thank you Trista Signe Ainsworth and Thank You Note for this wonderful prompt” Reaching Out”, which really made me sit and wonder at the strength of this simple gesture. Also thank you for publishing my poem.
