Welcome to another great day on ILLUMINATION
Everyday is joyful and interesting thanks to creative works of our writers.
I received several unexpected inquires from our writers today. They were asking whether it was okay to publish in other publications. I answered the question in a story by highlighting our values and thoughts about writers.
As mentioned in the story, ILLUMINATION embraces diversity, inclusion, and collaboration. Every writer of Medium is welcome to join our publication. Each writer is important and valuable to us. When we look at the big picture, in the end, we are all part of an ecosystem. Discrimination, exclusion, and elitism do not align with integration and the universal ecosystem philosophy.
Diversity, inclusiveness, and collaboration are core values of ILLUMINATION.
Each writer and each story is unique. I want our writers to find their voices in the most efficient way. I will support whatever works for them. Writers make a choice, not the publication. The publication is the service provider, and the writers are the customers.
Growing by experimenting
We have accomplished, experienced, and new writers with huge potential. We bring all together and cross-pollinate in a safe and supportive environment. New writers can learn and grow by leveraging the inspiration of top writers. This practice is the innovation and leadership of ILLUMINATION. Nobody was born as an accomplished writer.
I confirm that our writers can write for other publications, and we will encourage them to do so. We want our writers to gain new experiences, broaden their network by meeting new writers and readers from other publications. Many of our writers are successfully writing for other publications and serving as editors. We support them. My concluding remark was: “writers are not slaves to publications; they are our valued customers”.

ILLUMINATION Slack Channel
We created a writer collaboration platform using Slack. We have 416 members on Slack. I added several writers to our Slack channel today. Thank you for the inquires and willingness to join our collaboration and innovation lab.
New writers are invited to join our Slack to have a chat and collaborate with other inspiring writers. We discuss editorial matters, Medium policies, content quality, and overall writing skills improvement.

We strive for excellence. We make every effort to increase the quality of our stories and provide an enjoyable reading experience to our followers. Quality is an iterative process. I notice that the quality of our stories is increasing day by day. The curation rate increased.
We need to be proactive and maintain quality.

We have some volunteering editors who can perform a proof-reading for the writers from the non-English speaking background. You can search for volunteers from our Slack channel. One of the proof-reading tools our writers recommend is Grammarly. There may be other applications that you can use to improve readability of your stories
