Leadership and Entrepreneurship
What Are the Points of Dislike Against Elon Musk?
I don’t understand because finding scarce skills in the 21st century is not so easy.

Many billionaires stay silently, enjoying their lives in solitude. We never hear about their names as they do not engage with society.
Undoubtedly, their outcomes contribute to society to some extent, but their vision and skills can hardly influence the public and the new generations.
It is, of course, a personal choice, and I respect their choice. However, some billionaires take risks and engage with society openly. Elon Musk is one of these distinguished leaders.
I read numerous articles and blog posts, watched videos, and listened to podcasts about Elon Musk.
Like anyone else, Mr. Musk is not perfect. However, his vision, ideas, problem-solving, and execution are beyond reproach. Problem-solving is the sexiest skill of the century.
Most of the articles, especially from self-promoting writers, are concerned with the personality traits of Mr. Musk. They delve into details about his broken marriage and why he fired his assistant and other staff members.
I am not undermining the concerns related to societal issues for self-development but too much focus for a person who has the potential to change human history with a proven track record.
Nevertheless, the proportion of content does not seem well-balanced to me.
Honesty, why should we care about his marriage, what he wears, how he speaks, and how he manages his employees? I don’t. They are his personal problems and have little impact on society.
Focusing on trivial matters does not bring value to civilization. Besides, all geniuses in history, including Albert Einstein, depicted eccentric behavior. There is nothing new about it.
Some people envy the wealth of Mr. Musk. He is one of the wealthiest people, undoubtedly. But he deserves every cent he earns with his diligence.
Besides, Elon Musk did not inherit billions of dollars to create his well-performing companies. He struggled like many of us, facing severe rejections. He suffered from poverty. But he did not give up.
I admire many traits of Mr. Musk as an entrepreneur and inspiring leader. But what I value most is his investment and determination in his learning.
He taught himself rocket science and became the chief technology officer (CTO) and chief designer of the SpaceX program. This is not a trivial achievement. It takes many years for high-IQ scientists to achieve a prestigious position. But he did in only a few years.
My point is he is not just an ordinary entrepreneur with a vision and managing an organization. Instead, he walks his talks as an entrepreneur, leader, engineer, and scientist.
He understands the critical issues in technology and makes timely decisions for complex matters at the metaphorical speed of light. He takes ethics seriously. He served as a philanthropist and contributed $190.5 billion. He also collaborates with other exceptional leaders like Bill Gates and Jack Ma.
My purpose in this article is not to praise Mr. Musk. He does not need cheap praise. He earns trust and is accepted by millions. He is a human being and makes mistakes like other humans.
No one is perfect and will not be. Focusing energies on only the weaknesses of a distinguished person does not serve society.
However, focusing on his strengths and giving constructive feedback to improve them can produce better results for our collective gains.
Mr. Musk has several unique strengths that can change our history from my observations. First of all, he has a clear vision and mission. He sets his priorities with conviction.
He has an inspiring work ethic as one of the most hard-working people on the planet. His optimism is beyond reproach. He acts exceptionally fast. He is brave to take risks and fail fast.
Finally, and most importantly, he focuses his energies on solving big problems that truly matter to society.
These distinguishable leadership skills are scarce in the 21st century. Having a leader like that is a privilege for society. I don’t understand why we don’t understand this privilege and value his exceptional skills and contributions. Who cares what he eats, drinks, smokes, or wears?
How important is his stuttering in his speech for society?
Who cares about his relationship with the opposite sex?
We have unique stars in each century and usually don’t understand their values until they die. Then, we regret these terrible mistakes.
I believe those who fiercely criticize Mr. Musk for trivial matters will face the same regret in the next century.
Killing the symbolic gold-laying geese has been a common mistake throughout history.
I hope we understand this mistake and judiciously act before it gets too late. No one has lived more than 150 years on this globe so far.
I don’t think anyone can live 1,000 years. Maybe the Neurolink initiative of Mr. Musk can make such a lifespan possible.
I recently shared my perspectives on the Twitter acquisition by Elon Musk.
Thank you for reading my perspectives. I wish you a healthy and happy life.
