This crazy year is (mercifully) almost over and now is the time we generally reflect on the year and put together a retrospective of our high points. I started this quirky little Medium page on May 21, and while I have enjoyed writing every single piece I’ve published, there are definitely some stories that I really loved writing more than others and still remember fondly. So here, dear readers, in no particular order, is my 2020 year in review.

I also got the opportunity to speak to some participants about their experiences at the event and why they chose to do their business in such a public forum.

I wrote this piece after Roz Warren dared me to when I was chatting her up in the comments section of an article she wrote about Jeffrey Toobin’s boneheaded (pun intended!) decision to let it all hang out during a Zoom work meeting. The muse was definitely at work with this one, since as soon as I started thinking about what to write, the Red Hot Chili Peppers popped into my head and my fingers just started doing the walking.

This story came about because I was on the treadmill one day listening to Abbey Road by The Beatles, and in my mind, I saw the words “here cums the sun” instead of “here comes the sun.” That got me to wondering if there were people out there who get off thinking about the sun and lo and behold, there is such a fetish, known as actirasty.
