We reached a major milestone today, five days earlier than our fourth month. ILLUMINATION has now 2,269 writers and 20,127 followers. We started with around 80 writers on 20 March 2020.
It has been a remarkable growth. Many thanks to our creative writers, diligent editors, and supportive readers. We host over 16,000 stories.
Let me introduce you some of our resources to support our writers and readers.
This is very important for visibility of our writers. Around 250 writers created their bios and shared them as stories. You can meet them from the attached link. Our readers started recognising them. I highly recommend all our writers to submit a wrier bio.
I created a list of our writers with “Top Writer” status yesterday. The list is growing. Our readers are surprised by the number of top writers on ILLUMINATION. They are also amazed by the number of tags we cover.

ILLUMINATION Slack Channel
We created a writer collaboration platform using Slack. We have 419 members on Slack. I added several writers to our Slack channel today. Thank you for the inquires and willingness to join our collaboration and innovation lab.
New writers are invited to join our Slack to have a chat and collaborate with other inspiring writers. We discuss editorial matters, Medium policies, content quality, and overall writing skills improvement.

I aim to create awareness for the high-quality stories so that our new writers can leverage these excellent stories, model the styles so that they can improve their stories for increasing chance of curation by Medium curators. We strive for excellence. We make every effort to increase the quality of our stories and provide an enjoyable reading experience to our followers. Quality is an iterative process. I notice that the quality of our stories is increasing day by day. The curation rate increased.
We need to be proactive and maintain quality.
New writers: please ensure that you check your stories for typos, spelling, and grammar errors before submitting them to the publication. Our readers deserve high quality stories.
We have some volunteering editors who can perform a proof-reading for the writers from the non-English speaking background. You can search for volunteers from our Slack channel. One of the proof-reading tools our writers recommend is Grammarly. There may be other applications that you can use to improve readability of your stories
We curate valuable content for our readers; we create awareness and visibility of our content to wider audience. We also amplify Medium articles on social media to bring new readers and subscribers.
If you have already applied from different means and not added to the publication yet, please try again by directly writing to me. Some messages are easily lost on articles.
