Dancing Elephants Press 2022 End Year Review, Update, and Plans for the Future in 2023
It has been an incredible year

✨✨WE LIKE TO WISH A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE✨✨
One day it begins and each day our goal is to spread positivity, kindness, and joy from within.
💝🐘Dancing Elephants Press is now one year and 3 months old on Medium.
We are still a small publication with about 320 followers and about 130 registered writers with 30–40 writers who are most active in the publication. We average about 5000 views and 5000 reads each month. We are small and strong. We currently publish between 60–70 stories a month.
Each word of positivity and each article of kindness means the world to me and everyone who reads them. It is delightful to start my day to see what beautiful gem had been published — thanks to Dr. Preeti Singh overnight or by one of our other editors Sharing Randomly, and Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, some of the articles are waiting to be published in the morning by me. My morning presents.
Many wonderful things were accomplished this year. I am grateful for amazing articles, beautiful collaboration, and the spreading of positivity and joy in our publication.
💝🐘January
Announced the idea of a book project in the article looking back on 2021 and plans for the future.
Dancing Elephant Press Book of 2022:
“I have been also thinking about collaborating and creating a book for publication that would be published yearly from the articles and authors who would like to participate. I would like to start this process this year and create a separate column where the Dancing Elephant Press Book articles are published. The articles will have a separate tag and set criteria. I will be working on this plan in the next few weeks and announce it once it is fully formed. Depending on how many articles are submitted a collection of stories would be published yearly or more frequently. Sections of the book would focus on Positivity — Feel Good Articles, Health and Mental Health, Wellness, and Other categories as they emerge. This will be a good way to place our writings in a more permanent form.”
About ten days later recruited and announced two wonderful editors who had joined the book project and become editors of the publication Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles and Sharing Randomly.
Application guidelines were posted in January as well — this article later was readjusted to show the current authors for the book project and links to the articles posted.
Project updates in January followed the process. This was all very new to everyone and we had a sharp learning curve as we were trying to navigate the project divide responsibilities, read articles and figure out the next steps.
💝🐘February
At the beginning of February participant announcement for the book project was in order:
We had so many beautiful applications for the project that we had a hard time choosing between people. From the original idea of ten people, we doubled to 20 plus 3 editors. The original idea was to create two separate books. With the amount of work everything involved in the background and two people dropping out later we decided to combine the authors and ended up with 21 writers and editors for the book project.
In February we begin the book project with our first prompt Positivity
We received so many beautiful responses. My heart melts when I think of reading all these lovely articles.
💝🐘March
Our second book project prompt on Health and Wellness was created by our editor Sharing Randomly
March also included project updates on the book. At this point, we received the articles for the first prompt and some for our second prompt. It was time for reminders and updates.
💝🐘April
Our book project continued, and we received so many beautiful articles.

💝🐘August
In August we welcomed our new editor to the Dancing Elephants team Dr. Preeti Singh
Behind the scenes, we are working on our Book Project. We had received all our articles by August and started work on putting the ebook together and editing.
In August we created a list containing all the articles for the book project so it will be easy to find them in one place.
💝🐘September
Behind the scenes, we are working on our Book Project. Editing and formatting are hard when you think you are done you begin again and repeat the process.
In September we supported E. Katherine Kottaras in her 21-day writing journey.
In September we started to add monthly updates to the publication and weekly highlights to the publication to recognize all of our wonderful writers and authors.
💝🐘October
We celebrated our first anniversary at Dancing Elephants Press🐘🐘
Behind the scenes, we were working on our Book Project.
On October 2nd a new project began with Dancing Elephants. We started the series of 52 prompts in 52 weeks and created a living book page to collect the articles. The living book contains beautiful articles. The idea behind collecting these beautiful articles in one place is so people can read them by the topic they enjoy.
In October our first prompt was about Music by Dr. Gabriella Korosi, our second prompt was all about smiles by our editor Dr. Preeti Singh, our third prompt was all about art by our editor Sharing Randomly, our 4th prompt was about beautiful quotes by our editor Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles and our final prompt for the month was about our hearts by our editor and owner Dr. Gabriella Korosi

🐘🐘Plans or Next Year 🎊🎊 2023 here we come🐘🐘
The vision for Dancing Elephants Press remains the same. Spread positivity and joy to the world.
The second vision is to support our writers. The idea behind our first book was to: ”place our writings in a more permanent form” and retain them from disappearing amongst the millions of articles online.
This goal still remains.
