Coronavirus Bombshell
The big Coronavirus story of the day, if you dwell in Dimension B, is Boris Johnson’s handshaking practices.
The story stems from a news conference given by the Prime Minister in which he was asked (@ 34mins) by a Channel 4 reporter if he would refrain from shaking hands. To which he replied “ “I was at a hospital the other night where I think a few there were actually coronavirus patients and I shook hands with everybody, you’ll be pleased to know, and I continue to shake hands.”

Cue twitter’s resident idiot, Dr Dena Grayson, to peddle her brand of hysterical quackery to every TDS suffering, Dimension B dwelling, gullible fool, willing to believe her message of doom.
And cue Angela Rayner, one half of Labour’s Odd Couple, to pile in with…
Ms Rayner is not the brightest of buttons, so she is perhaps not aware that Kettering General Hospital (assuming that is the hospital Mr Johnson was referring to), like all hospitals, has isolation pods in the carpark for people who suspect they have coronavirus (to prevent infection within the hospital buildings)… so maybe….
And Mr Johnson did not say that he shook patients hands… in fact he didn’t say he met any patients at all. But well done Ms Rayner for making shit up.
And well done for doing exactly what the Chief Scientific Officer, Sir Patrick Valence, in answer to a previous question, said not to do…. and indeed, what Ms Rayner will be hectoring people not to do in two weeks ….
If you search through the links below, you will find a study from Shanghai that states that the virus has a transmission range of 26km, you will also find another study that states that it is transmissible by farts up to half a mile. How true these are, is rather less relevant than the coughing and sneezing range when compared to the length of person’s arms, and why this daft obsession with handshaking is so contrived.
But don’t tell the deluded dwellers of Dimension B, as they desperately seek some way to make themselves relevant: having spent the first month of the the Coronavirus saga telling anyone who would listen, to lick a Chinaman to prove you aren’t racist, and that all talk of Coronavirus was a right-wing conspiracy…. because it is just flu….
You will forgive me, but ever since Rachel Maddow spun her conspiracy theory about the CDC on (or around) Feb 22nd, trying to follow events around the world has been increasingly difficult, because ‘progressives’ insist that rather than information, what people want is their ‘hot take’.
And like every ‘progressive’ ‘hot-take’,they are humourless, ill-informed, and mean-spirited…. like this one…
“He thinks the flu vaccine will work for #coronavirus. Because…ya know…he’s a moron… #Trump”
No Mr Ostroy, in case you didn’t notice that was a staged info-mercial. And Mr Trump asked that question (as per the script) to point out that flu vaccine doesn’t work. Because pharmacists have been pointing out for weeks that people have been having flu-shots and buying Tamiflu in the belief that it does work: thus creating a potential shortage of both.
But don’t let that get in the way of the dopamine hit you, Mr Ostroy, receive from likes and retweets by people who are as stoopid as you.
Anywho…
The UK government have published their plans for… erm… flu. It’s pretty much what one would expect, part Dad’s Army, part stiff upper lip.
Oh and I notice, as predicted, China is starting to blame other countries (Britain and Italy so far) for new cases in China. Which will be handy for them, as it will allow for a massaging of the figures (perhaps even the inclusion of the 6000 (sick or dead) they mislaid in the middle of February).
And people are starting to wake up to the fact that the fatality rate is higher, around 3%, as the virus enters the second week in South Korea, Italy, and Iran. Whether the resultant stories of reinfection will be enough to wake up the ‘woke’ MDs on twitter remains to be seen…. though according to some reports they have been brain dead for some time, with just the texting thumb showing signs of life.
