Summary

The article discusses the global response to the coronavirus outbreak, focusing on the situation in China, the UK's preparedness, and the impact on other countries like Singapore and France.

Abstract

The coronavirus outbreak has prompted a range of responses from governments and individuals, with China implementing strict measures to control the spread of information and the virus itself. The UK government is reportedly prepared to test thousands daily, yet there is debate over whether to stop flights from China, where the virus is believed to have infected one in thirty-three people in Wuhan. The article also touches on the propaganda efforts by Chinese media, the situation in Hong Kong, including the actions of Carrie Lam, and the spread of the virus to other countries, affecting wealthy individuals and leading to cases in the UK, including a student in Brighton. The article concludes with a mention of local political

Coronavirus ‘Self Isolates’ China

But first a Public Information Film.

YesYesI knowCoronavirus is no laughing matter but fear not (if you are in the UK) for the government is well prepared. They are still not sure if they should stop flights to China: to prevent the spread of a virus that can survive nine days outside of the body, and by their own estimates has infected 1 in 33 people in Wuhan. Don’t worry though, because the Daily Mail is using video from at least 3 days ago (maybe 5) to illustrate a story about how the Chinese have begun to round up the infected; something that has been going on for at least 3 days (maybe 5).

A Load Of Rubbish

So having linked to my previous articles (just to annoy morons)… let’s have look at what has been going on today….

The first thing to note is that the crack down on information coming out of China seems to be working. The punishment for spreading false information is up to 15 years years. So perhaps unsurprisingly we are getting less of this. New videos, pictures and testimony is appearing, there is just less of it.

The official propaganda is particularly interesting to follow. As it tends to swing between ‘happy smiling people laughing’ and blaming everyone else for China’s problems.

As a transwoman I have special insight into the Hong Kong Fluey (did you feel the jolt?)… which annoyed you most? the appeal to authority, or the ‘racism’?make a note of that

Hong Kong is an interesting case. They declared an emergency in January. Since then Carrie has banned the wearing of face masks, said sorry for banning the wearing of face masks, and is now running out of face masks. Medical staff have been on strike to try and force Carrie Lam to shut the border with the manialand. Oh and they have run out of tampons.

But never fear, for Carrie Lam has acted decisively. She has recruited the Boy Scouts. And, she has let in 230,000 people from mainland China. And, the medical staff (who have presumably gone back to work) have to buy their own protective equipment (did I mention that the reason she had to apologise was that Ms Lam claimed she didn’t wear a face mask, but was then found to do so).

It’s just flu

But enough about China, Singapore upgraded to alert Orange the other day. The city state has been treating cases since late January. But this time it is serious, because it involves rich people, who had to pay a $1000 a night at the Hyatt hotel for the privilege of getting infected. And then, to show just how disrespectful this virus is, it followed them to France where it infected a skiing party.

And they are British.

A second case has occurred in Brighton, a student, who has been told to ‘self isolate’: Brighton council not having a welder available. The good news is there is a Greggs near by.

Local MP (and robot) Caroline Lucas, is reportedby an unnamed source’ to be unsure if she is delighted that someone has finally got around to seriously dealing with the human cancer causing the climate crisis, or hedging her bets (as per bloody usual) to see which way the wind blows in the progressive death cult.

She also has yet to reveal if she will be join those throwing vegan sausage rolls, weed, and Red Bull at the student’s window: to help them through the self isolation.

Oh yeah, and there’s something about boats… and an American has died…

Be luckyit’s just flu
